It's nice to know i'm not the only one, but the dancing around naked is optional and something i personally don't do.
I am looking forward the festivities coming up but i'm on my own in this town dominated by christianity which is why i'm a bit defensive, some people just don't get the hint that your're not interested....

Aside form that shintoisim is actually an offshoot of buddhisim and paganisim too!

My pagan beliefs are combined from Celts, the Norse, Buddhism (Karma and reincarnation) and Wicca. I am more of a solitary pagan, and don't do the nude dancing, but i note the holidays and mostly try to live by the main rules I have taken as my own - accepte responsibility for my actions, and do no harm which can't be undone.

Also, the main reason I turned to paganism was the fact that Christianity left a lot to be desired, and I saw no benefit in its dogma.

You're right about that wurdbendur, i stand corrected.
It's remarkably similar to paganisisim but completely independant.
Most pagans don't ascribe to any single dogma either.
I don't ascribe to a particular written type, i have found that most of the well known pagan/wicca type books are too focused on either dancing naked or spell craft and leave out the fundimental things like the basic knowledge of the gods or god and goddess.
most well known wicca groups only focus on the goddess ignoring the fact that the whole faith is based on balance
The beliefs i have are different yet again but follow the balance of life and who i am because of it.

I am highly sceptical of cults. What basis is there for belief in such? Major monotheist religions, have some credibility, even evidence on their side. Buddhism, well, is more of a spiritualist lifestyle, but is also quite credible. I think that most of the occult is brainwashing and false hope compared to say, Christianity. However, I will not intrude on this thread any more.
