Wearing "wh***y tighties" (if thats what your talking about) holds your testicles close to your body, and heats them up which causes damage to them.

because having a foreskin makes jerking it much easier?

I seriously doubt that such is the reason for circumcision of goyim in (late)20th century america.

That's right. I forgot about that fact, but it's the best reason not to wear underwear.

A lot of the doughboys got infections during WWI on their packages because they were unable to clean them while fighting in the trenches. Circumcision removes the foreskin making cleaning less of an issue. And became popular after the war.

It's becoming less and less common.

Thankfully.

Let's just say I don't go about mooning over the loss of my foreskin. I am still fully functional. And I'm not Jewish so it was not done for religious reasons. I think my parents had it done for medical/health/sanitary reasons.

I do not miss my poor old foreskin. Foreskin, I never knew ye.

Honestly if I had a choice I wouldn't of have been circumcised but I was born in the United States of Catholic parents so what do you expect? There was a large chance of it happening in my situation I suppose, so no point in whining about it. The best thing I could do is if I ever do have a son I won't get him circumcised. If for some reason he'd need to get it later in life he can, but I'd rather it be his choice.

Butchered at birth? You're making it sound worse than it actually is. Although for sheer horror, nothing beats a botched circumcision.

Well if someone came and cut your right ear off wouldn't that be horror?? Remember a baby has practically no pain tolerance and they generally force this operation on those poor baby boys with no pain killers at all. The reason they do it is, because their is a myth that circumcision is good for a baby however their are only potential health benefits which can be obtained in other ways. For example people say it helps keeps someone from being infected with HIV well you can get the same benefit from good sex education, which stresses monogamous sex, safe sex and getting yourself and your partner tested for STDs.

I would also like to stress circumcision is an elective surgery that parents have not right to have performed if the foreskin was cancerous yeah cut it off because then their is a medical reason to do so, but to cut off healthy tissue is crazy. Since the foreskin is part of that child's body and most circumcisions are done for non-medical reasons I say that parents and doctors need to leave them alone and let the child grow up and decide as a consenting adult if he wants to have his foreskin removed, it is his right and his alone if he wants his foreskin or not.

I am with slowmutant 100%. I don't miss it, I don't remember it, and to be completely honest I'm glad that I'm circumcised. IMO I think this issue is given way more importance than it deserves.

Actually, they are coming up with ways to grow any kind of organ/flesh back using natural methods, so surely there is a way to grow your foreskin back.. I can't imagine how expensive that procedure must be though.

Circumcision is now considered and "elective" procedure in the US and not covered by many medical plans. Doctors are now discouraging it. I hope that makes you feel a little better.

Fortunately I have a mother who questioned and stopped the Dr's desire to mutilate me. Those of you who are happy / ambivalent with your circumcision don't be so dismissive of those that have a real issue with it. Some men go to extraordinary lengths (no pun intended) to stretch their foreskins, and many suffer psychological distress, not to mention the problems associated with sensitivity. `

It has been shown that there is a reduction in male UTI's with circumcision but seeing as UTI's are really rare in men with normal renal function this seems pointless, the same is also true for penile cancer.

I wish my husband's mother would have had the insight to look past common convention as well. Unfortunately for us, he will never be able to grow it back.

Luckily for my own son, I did research it well before giving birth, so he'll be intact for his wife. Unless of course he wants it removed at some point, in which case it will be his decision as an adult to make. It's a win-win, because I'm allowing him to make his own decision regarding his foreskin IMO.
