I've believed in reincarnation all my life but not so sure anymore. There are 2 problems with it.
The soul. And linear time.
It seems more logical to me that if we do have multiple lives--they inhabit parallel universes and all exist in the present. The concept of linear time could be reformed so as to consist of habitation of multiverses with everything co-existing in the present. Time travel would be leaping into a universe next to, or parallel to, the one we normally inhabit.
I imagine 3 possible past, future, or concurrent lives. In the first one, I am persecuted during the Inquisition, imprisoned in a dungeon located in an old Spanish Castle, and released by Queen Isabella who decides I should be put upon a boat bound for the New World, along with the other undesirables she wants to be rid of. That was ostensibly at the beginning of the 16th century.
In the second one, i am a school teacher in Greece and have no idea when it seems to be, but when i concentrate i can see it very clearly. So it's easy to accept how that particular life could be running concurrently with this one.
In the third one, i get fleeting glimpses of a place that seems to be Atlantis. Years ago in a vision, i see a friend piloting a balloon in Atlantis for search and rescue missions....Atlantis could be past or future....but if it exists at all...is probably another parallel universe. And to top it off.....i've always had the feeling that i made a wrong turn somewhere and this particular universe is not the one i belong to.
