The free presbyterian church of scotland and the church of scotland are too completely seperate churches, the 'anglicanised' church of scotland being the "official religion" here, not the presbyterian church. More people attend the catholic chapel than any other one church body in Scotland.

Actually the Church of Scotland is Presbyterian. The anglican church in scotland is the Episcopal Church. This is from there website.

By the end of the 16th century, the Protestant Church of Scotland had developed into a Presbyterian Church, with a system of courts (today General Assembly, presbytery and kirk session), and a strong tradition of preaching and Scriptural emphasis.

Let me ask you something, why are you proud in knowing that when you die that you'll just die and that will be it for you? Wouldn't you want to be somewhere instead of being dust among the ground? Aren't you even the slighest bit wondering why you are alive? Why you are who you are? What is your reason for living? Doesn't these questions come in your mind? Don't you feel like something big is missing in your life? That you've tried to fill with the things of this world and nothing could fill it but just make it worse?

Your playing church because you are just occupying your time without any benefit because there iis no god and he wouldnt be bothered about things like churches if there was one so you are just playing churches in the end, just as i used to play spiderman when i was a kid but then i grew up....

There is a God and there is a Heaven and a Hell. Also it's not a game. This is life that we're talking about. I still won't change my postion or my beliefs just because you say there's no God. Okay Mr. Wisebutt what caused the moon to be where it is and how it is today? Hmm....To late can't answer that one I guess. Not as smart as you think you are huh? Why do humans have two eyes not four or more? Why don't we have tails? We're animals aren't we? Then why don't we act like it? What are your answers for these question?

the moon is where it is by centrifical force, the matter that makes up the moon has always existed even before the big bang and simply put, the universe is one giant cycle that is way beyond our scope of comprehension for the time being due to lack of sufficient technology.

everything is a set of random events and not-so-random but logical events that leads up to where we are. it's completely logical that there might be life on one of the planets because the ingredients get matched correctly. you don't need a god to create life, just the proper conditions. scientists have, in fact, recreated the conditions for primordial ooze and saw the starts of life with single-cell organisms in labs.

so tell me this: if there is a god, why would he be all loving and yet condemn people to an enternity of oblivion or hell or whatever you choose to believe (even though the fire and brimstone hell isn't in the bible). why would do that and not simply show them and enlighten them after death? why do people have to be punished in the cruel ways of humans? why not the enlightened way of deities...afterall, what greater punishment for a murderer is there than the true knowledge, empathy, and scope of the crime he or she committed? and wouldn't god allow such a person to ask for forgiveness after this point considering that they now understand and can truely be sorry and truely be forgiven for their sins?

i'm only atheist in the sense that i choose to not have a god define who i am in my life and how i choose what i do....i've found that's the only way for me to truely have free will and actually beable to put my actions into perspective without all the BS of organized religion and the religious laws that serve no purpose other than keeping people as sheep and controling them.

Oh you want to play word games then? How about a sparing match? A sword fight sounds about right. What size of clothing do you wear? Let me see if I can find a fencing outfit for you and let's duel it out! This time and maybe every time I'll strike you down! That's if I can find you. Enough of your wise butt remarks. I really serious can go on and on and on about this until we both are dead and barried in our graves. You want some of me?
