Most countries are a threat. The US isn't different but most people I know here are world concious, I don't hear anything crazy unless I turn on the radio and listen to rush or see pat buchanan on tv. I think their mass fearmongering sells and makes a fool out of people who just don't know any better, but I don't encounter these people, I don't meet people who tell me that they need to start nuking iran, I just see them on a yahoo comment. I have the feeling that people hide these opinions when they're around me because I wouldn't agree with them (I look intimidating to some people).

I think the US has learned a lot of lessons about foreign policy and contol over the years, the US is best mantra is fading and I don't mind it one bit. The US is supposed to be a home, not a world wide enforcer of it's own doctrine. I hope this is the case anyway. There are some extreme opinions out there and I can only do so much to balance them out.

are you f'ing serious?
WAKE
UP

give me detailed answers on the following nations:
how is guatemala a world threat?
how is greece a world threat?
how is finland a world threat?
how is uruguay a world threat?
how is iceland a world threat?
how is uganda a world threat?
how is bhutan a world threat?
how is denmark a world threat?
how is ireland a world threat?
how is estonia a world threat?
how is suriname a world threat?
how is jamaica a world threat?
how is namibia a world threat?
how is kenya a world threat?
how is botzwana a world threat?
how is turkmenistan a world threat?
how is jordan a world threat?
how is oman a world threat?
how is nepal a world threat?
how is honduras a world threat?
how is belize a world threat?
how is canada a world threat?
how is paraguay a world threat?
how is ecuador a world threat?
how is ghana a world threat?
how is gabon a world threat?
how is niger a world threat?
how is chad a world threat?
how is qatar a world threat?
how is even israel a world threat?
or peru, or brazil, or australia, or even north and south korea, theyre a threat to the peninsula but not to the world.

usa is
The
Only
Countri
On
The
PLANET
with MILITARY BASES
all over the world.

go figure.

btw, i was serious about the list. stand by what you say. "MOST". that list contains about 40 nations, and i want world-threatening dirt on them all.

Wow, you're just out to nit-pick aren't you? Maybe what I should've said was there are plenty of world threatening countries and the US isn't the only one. Does that work for you?

I'm not about to start calling counties like Jamaica a world threat. But seriously, you went and compiled a list just because I used the word "most"?

I can view North Korea as a world threat, they have nuclear ambitions and little discretion for human life. And Israel? Don't get me started, unofficially, Israel was considering nuking all the countries attacking it. Ever hear of "Samson Option"? Did I piss you off in some other thread or something?

i did, and i made it quickly.
consistency is important, and allowing a population to think that their actions mirror that of "most" countries, is very, very dangerous. to everyone else.

"U.S. still controls the International Monetary Fund and one of its people runs the World Bank... crackpot economic theories that claim that the State exists only to serve as a cash cow for the very wealthy and best-connected, whilst funded by the most regressive forms of taxation, is still being pushed by hook or by crook."

This. The reason why Americans scare me most.

The US bombs countries which is very uncivilized and invading countries is an act of aggression and also killing the united nations like john bolton did undermines peace in the world. russia and others are also aggressors

The U.S. is not a threat. North Korea, Al-Qaida, and the Taliban are major threats.

As for Iran, they're due for another revolution any day, and it is certainly showing after the botched election..

Yes he did, and, given your argument that seems a sensible criticism.

well, given that you used "most" instead of "plenty" the fault lies on you, not the reader and not the replier, so you really can't complain about people for interpreting things you may have or not mistakenly wrote, you can just rectify the intended message but certainly not putting the blame on the interpreter.

Ok WP, I used the word "most" and I have no intention of digging up dirt on EVERY country, feel free to never let me forget it!! !

The following countries can deliver nuclear weapons well beyond their borders:

U.S.
Russia
People's Republic of China
France
Britain
North Korea (maybe).

When you get down to it, anyone with WMD access and enough brains to smuggle them can be a threat to anyone outside their boarders. Although I have to say that Israel seems sensible enough to not attack it's neighboring countries anymore, I'm not excluding the possibility, I'm just saying that I take Israel for a country that would rather not resort to something like that.

Knowing Israel's use of unconventionnal weaponry (phosphore bombs anyone?), i wouldn't put it past them to use nukes. <.<

Only after being attacked or pre-emptively to prevent attack.

There is a saying from the Talmud: If he is coming to murder you, rise up early and slay him first.
