Kind of how I feel. If this little group grew in terms of how vocal it was, or how popular it was, then it would be worth trying to knock down, but until there is an in-depth "theological issue" or even disagreement that matters to me, I am going to turn a blind eye, as it is just random spiritualism to me at this point.

Worth trying to knock down? Other than listening to lies about it, what would make one want to do this?

I think he means knocking down your arguments or positions.

Some people think that because they have no sense of something then it cannot exist.

thechadmaster-
Please, don't tell me what to believe. My knowledge of the subject comes from an entirely different source. As previously stated, he has been known to have many other names over the ages- well before christianity was made. He was not created by your god. He emphasizes this to his own. I understand that you are his enemy, but really you know nothing about him. I'd rather leave it at that, due to the fact that discrediting other gods was not the point of this thread. So please, unless you know him personally- kindly lay off.

BlueMage-
It's good to be cautious with invoking, however it is not completely reckless either, depending on how you go about it. You should first get to know an entity well before attempting it. If it's not someone you trust, then just don't do it. Unless you want to be reckless, which is entirely up to you.
Yes, I have seen them. I don't recognize the entity you described, but some of the demons I know come close. I would recommend trying to "get close" to him if you ever see him again. You know, get to know him better.
Personally, it's been years since I've tried to find a website on the subject (I just have my journal)- but I doubt any will be 100 percent accurate. The reason why is because from my experience the information comes from multiple sources, and sometimes not from the Goetic gods themselves. So you may find some information from them directly, but other links on the site will not be.
You are very wise to say those things. What have you learned about Hecate over the years? I have some information but I'm not sure if it's truly correct. There is so much bs out there!

goetia- was he or was he not known as Lucifer at one point? Lucifer being the angel of light who challenged his Creator to a battle of wits, and lost.

You claim to have another source regarding satans origin...care to elaborate. Im just pointing out that even outside of Christendom, satan is regarded as being a Judeo-Christian concept. Ive known wiccans who accept that.

I know more (truth) about satan than you think i do, and believing in a being who was the first "contrarian" of sorts speaks volumes.

Interesting beliefs.
@thechadmaster: I have read that some satanists identify Satan with an earlier deity from before the Judaic period, such as Anubis or Baal

Anubis is actually a separate god, along with Baal, or Beelzebub.

^^^^

Your view seem to be less in common with satanism and more with Zoroastrianism.

I don't know much of anything special about Hecate. One morning I just woke up and I sensed this spectacular presence of some blue goddessy figure. She conveyed a sense of darkness and in-betweeness, association with the moon, sunrise and sunset, hidden knowledge. One night I was just sitting at the computer surfing the internet or something, and something urged me to go outside. I went out into my backyard and there in the sky was a bright full moon. I got those strong feelings of energy and worship, and the strong thought that I am one of hers and always have been. Words can't do the experience justice. Then later I was drawn to reading various things, and came across stuff about Hecate, she sounds pretty much like what I experienced.

So what are the other names Satan goes by? Is there an egyptian counterpart? Roman? Greek?

I dunno but you seem kind of reticent. What's your experience really? How did you get started? What do you do/experience regularly? Do you have other satanist friends that you practice things with?

Harry is a Wizard, a genetically telekinetic person. The Wizards had nothing to do with Satan who does not even exist.

If telekinetic people and telepathic people actually existed they would be persecuted as minion and spawn of the Devil.

.. like many others not in any way related to satanism. Although that's technically another discussion.

What kind of moron cheers for the wrong guy?

If you're acknowledging "Satan" that means that you're acknowledging the Christian-made demon which also means that you're acknowledging the Christian god.

"Theistic Satanism" is stupidity and any non-theistic Satanist wouldn't be as kind with their words as I am about it.

This just an assumption. Or maybe I simply don't remember Rowling mentioning it. Can you link to a passage in the books that explicitly says it?

I don't get this sentence. The Wizards don't exist? Satan doesn't exist?

This depends on who would represent the majority of people, as in what is assumed to be normality. It's in fact more complex than that; If telekinetic people and telepathic people would exist, the world's religions would most likely have developed differently.
