The theory that the gods in the old testament of the bible were aliens is the most plausible. Now the new testament.... That's fiction.

Don't go comparing the Bible, the Torah and the Qur'an to Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and A Tale of Two Cities. The latter books actually make a little sense.

This was a good one. You made me laugh :)

Tolkien made the most sense.

Literally Genesis
this is a series of youtube videos (one per chapter) where someone reads the bible, with commentary pointing out how silly the bible really is.
This is very funny, but slightly NSFW due to some 'bad words'
I used to be a christian, but then I started to realise that I had been brainwashed, and that the bible is just a bunch of stories.
There are a few things in the bible that are physically impossible, like the sun stopping in the sky, and the flood, if you take it literally.
As a scientist, I know that science is based on evidence and facts, and if science and the bible, a book written thousands of years ago, don't agree, then it is the bible that is wrong.

also, there are a few disturbing things, such as: Abraham, the 'father' of three major religions, married his sister! Seriously, WTF! (technically it was his half sister, but it is still disturbing). Also, God tells him to sacrifice his son, and at the last minute, tells him "LOL, just kidding!" plenty more where that came from too.

Seriously, who would actually want to worship "arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." (Dawkins)

The Bible, The Torah and The Qu'ran is ancient fiction? of course, but apart from the fact that billions of people actually believe it, I really don't think it would be particularly popular.
