You wake up 8 AM in the morning, in the year 2078. You go out to check you mail, and you find a letter. The letter comes from the WGHM (World Government Health Ministry). The letter contains some papers with questions regarding health issues. Its about the CGS (Compulsory Global Service). You have to fill the letter and send it to your local Global Service Draft Board, before you are going for the medical examination to determine if you are fit for service in the Global Police Force or the Regular Space Exploration Service.

You write down that you have Aspergers Syndrome, and also have some social anxiety accompanied with it.

A few months later, you get a new letter, stating the date you have to meet at you local Global Service Draft Board.

In the examination room, the doctor reads your papers, and tells that there is a cure for your Aspergers Syndrome. However, he also tells you that there are people with Aspergers Syndrome who would not like to be cured, and are doing fine with their 5 years Global Service. He tells you, that if you think your Aspergers Syndrome is too severe for your Global Service, you can apply for a free cure.

This however, will change your mind completely, and you don't wish that. So you say no to the cure. You are then going to pick up paper pieces with a number. They are all random, and they all have a 1 or 2. 1 means Global Police Force Service, 2 means Regular Space Exploration Service.

You pick the letter 2, and you find yourself in a very difficult situation: This requires you to move very long away from home, actually to the outer space, and it also means extensive training.

A few months later, you arrive at the training camp. The training makes you anxious, and you get panick attacks. You are then beaten for not completing your training, and sent in detention.

Socially, you aren't doing it good either.

You are being bullied.

One day you get a complete breakdown. You are then sentenced to TU (Termination of the Unfit). This is a government programme to get rid of all weak people that might be in trouble of the government. You are then going to the Termination Room, where you are given an injection of chemicals, until you die.

That's horrible! 8O

The book "Children of Men" by PD James & the film "V for Vendetta" talk about those same issues.

I'd prepare an inhibitor or antidote after having researched the cocktail of chemicals used or likely to be used in my termination. Having survived, I would then claim that if I was able to tolerate something that no-one had previously survived, I would therefore be fit to remain a useful member of society. After such a demonstration, I would quickly ask for a transfer to a job more suited to me!
Even if physically I could not have survived the execution without the inhibitor, I would still attempt the excuse that I had the mental tenacity to find and utilize the solution in the first place. Without creativity there is no progress.

You wouldn't be able to "cure" AS as an adult and have them suddenly able to act like an NT when it comes to social interaction. It's like restoring the hearing of someone who had been deaf since birth and expecting them to be able to speak and understand French.

I'll be 107 in 2078. If I can still walk to the mailbox at 107, I've won, regardless of what the letter says.

Yeah, I was wondering what I'd be doing serving my planet at the age of 103.
