The same argument is used by the pro-AA people to show why we still need it- because bosses still think hiring minorities is not profitable.
They do have a point, as indicated in the Roland Fryer study which shows that people with "black" names but identical resumes are less likely to be hired at a job.
However, affirmative action only worsens things, as people will assume that minorities' qualifications are due to affirmative action and thus will worsen discrimination.
We don't need to assume everybody is a racist/sexist, and we don't need to be giving ammunition to racist attitudes by affirmative action.
