Are most aspies Atheists?
Why does the museum allow tours by such idiots? He disqualified himself from the start by saying he believed the young earth nonsense. They should require guides to have at least some knowledge of dinosaurs or paleontology.

A privately owned museum is under no legal obligation to be scientifically sound. They can display anything they wish in whatever manner they wish.

Inability to connect with other people may correlate with inability to connect with God, so it does seem the generalisation has some truth behind it. I'm familiar with another view, where autistic people (the writer goes on to tag many 'odd' geniuses and artists of the past rather arbitrarily however) have an advantage over the rest of the population in that their lack of interest in the objective world enables them to invest more in the supernatural. The competence in maths and language in some autistic people could prove this to be a worthwhile argument, especially if you look back to Ancient Greece.
Their only explanation that evolution is false and the world is only 6000 years old is "because the bible says so so nyaaa!" Even though there is by far more fossilized evidence and genetic data that says otherwise also artifacts from civilizations much older than that.

Hm, I sort of presupposed it was a regular government museum of natural history or something and these morons "volunteered" to indoctrinate those kids. But maybe it's more similar to one of those "creation museums" I saw on tv, where they had a human riding a dinosaur like a horse.
I am truly at awe at your magnificent eloquence and scholarly insight. You will have me *completely* convinced of your point of view when you...
... justify your conclusions according to *all* of those religious positions you just conveniently forgot to mention....
As I am a kind person, I have already compiled a preliminary list... I eagerly await your response from all perspectives (and especially in regards to why the *Christian* perspective is better than all others).
After all, you chose Christianity after carefully evaluating the merit of different religious explanations... right?
Here is the list.
Talmud
Qu'ran
Sunnah
Tipitaka
Kitáb-i-Aqdas
Five Classics
Jain Agamas
Tao Te Ching
Principia Discordia
Rasa'il al-hikmah
Vedas
Bhagavad Gita
Guru Granth Sahib
Yasna
First, let me say that I give the credit for any abilities I may have to Jehovah God.
That said, you make a valid point, that other religious points of view should be taken into account. I have in fact researched what other religions believe. As to arguments showing why the Christian faith is the best I found the book Mankind's Search for God, published by Jehovah's Witnesses, to be very helpful. It examines each of the major religions, including different branches of Christianity, to help arrive at what the true religion is. I found it very convincing, and perhaps you will too if you get the opportunity to read it. In any case, the publishers explain it much better than I could do on this post. I also enjoyedd The Bible--God's Word or Man's? for itsconvincing evidence of the Bible's divine inspiration and also the books Life--How did it Get Here? By Evolution or by Creation? and Is There a Creator Who Cares About You? for the scientific evidence they present for creation vs evolution. [mod. edit: promotional information for a website, group or product redacted]
In addition, I have done research from secular sources as well on different religions. I also remember about three or four years ago that a friend of mine showed me a series of videos (not published by Jehovah's Witnesses) in which a professor breaks down in a very logical and scientific manner not only why belief in a Creator is scientific but specifically a theistic god. I don't remember offhand the name of the video series; I'll have to check with my friend and let you know. He goes into a great deal of depth, but in his first lectures he breaks down four basic worldviews--theism, deism, pantheism, and materialism and shows why theism is the only one that makes sense. I think if you were to see those videos you would be blown away.
Now all this is not to say that I have examined every religion in existence or that I have read all the items you listed. But I don't really need to either. If you wanted to recognize a counterfeit $100 bill, would you have to examine all possible counterfeits, or would you find out how to identify a real one, so that any who didn't meet the criteria could be identified as fake? Likewise, the real question is what the criteria are for identifying the true religion. Once that is established it is not necessary to examine every counterfeit but to find one that meets the criteria. Now I'm not going to go into all of that here on this post, but once again I invite you to obtain the publications I mentioned above or visit [mod. edit: promotional information for a website, group or product redacted] Think about what it would take to convince you that a particular brand of religion is the truth, and examine the world's religions from that angle, keeping an open mind, and see what you come up with.

I am another atheist. I was raised christian but I was permitted to make my own choice. I remember when I was 7 was told by my mother that the christmas story happened. I then asked how do you know? She told me she learned it in church. Then I asked for proof and got nothing. Then I looked in the bible and saw all the contradictions in it. I also saw all the hate and intolerance. I then knew it to be false.

If theres any knowable phenomena worthy of the title "God" or "holy", they would have to be love and consciousness. As far as omnipresent intelligences go, I've experienced some very strange synchronicities before, so I don't think that I could completely rule out the possibility of deity in the traditional sense as many in the PPR section do. I really don't know. I think its amazing that anything exists at all, and I really do think humanity is very much in the dark as to why exactly this is the case.
You won't get many people here saying that though, I steer clear of discussions about everything even remotely related to something not explained by mere human science with atheists.
That's me too. I think more aspies would be agnostic as they tend to see things more literally or are scientifically minded like me. But I have run across some passionate religious types in aspie groups.
All "intelligent design" does is posit an additional layer of complexity. It does not actually explain how the original, fundamental complexity came about. If we say that the universe we can see and feel and interact with is one layer of complexity and that it was created by an intelligent designer, then we have to accept that there is another deeper layer of complexity that the designer exists within. And if that additional layer of complexity exists, we can then ask "how did that deeper layer of complexity come about?" It's the question of "if god created the universe, who created god?"
If you don't have an answer, you are back where you started from. I have a simpler suggestion. Because we have no evidence of a conscious creator, there is no reason to expect one to exist. Then we can look for the reasons why the universe exists without adding needless layers of complexity.

I've always leaned towards being atheist, my mind just sees the bible as a story. That there really can't be people out there that believe this. Ive read about other religions but none see to fit to well. Most of my mind just doesnt care to want to know why or how i got here, just that im here and thats it. I like to believe in humans, that one day we might be able to trust and believe in each other enough to not be so hateful towards the world and many in it. Being that I haven't fit in most my life and spent most of it angry at the world, since having a child my views have changed and I hope one day humitanty can love one another as much as they claim to love god.
Might I ask what context you are using the word 'vocal' either you mean aspies who speak or those who argue their pointn or something completely different.
I am an atheist, science is the only way, logic, logic is the basis of understanding, therefore that which is illogical may not be understood.
