What if anything is so important you would die to make it happen?

I can only think it would have to involve my death being a spectacular scene. Something legendary that people would talk about for decades. I might even get a holiday on the calendar.

Yet at the same time also accomplishing something great.

Suppose for example I single handedly killed Kim Jong-Un with an axe and then detonated a North Korean missile aimed at Oregon before it could launch, taking out more bad guys, but I die in the explosion to.

Maybe to save a loved one from harm.

I would die if it meant world peace. It would admittedly take time to get to the point of "time to die"..... But if it meant all my loved ones, and even all my hated ones, could finally find permanent inner-peace.... Heck yes I would. I'm haunted by the masses, by the disastrous state of the world at large... All I truly ever wanted and want in this life is for those around me to be free from this struggle...

There's no point in that.

There might as well be world peace, but you'd never know it.

'World peace' is one of those ludicrous notions that would never make it to reality, because those that propose it don't understand humanity.

Only good reason I can think of.

Why is "knowing" there's world peace relevent to anything? The point was that IF my bodily death were to create world peace, I would be welcome to the idea. You're assuming I'm actually an absolutely selfish being. Clear cynicism. I suppose I can identify.

Also.... I believe my bodily death would not be my end. I believe I would stick around... just not as the Person I once was. I understand humanity very much so. And those who propose world peace are the ONES that understand the greed inbred in mankind. They're the ones who can see the vicious cycle... They're the ones in desperate need of a change. LOTS of "point" in that. :?

A Medal of Honor!

.. Just kidding...

No, seriously though. The single most common Medal of Honor citation is falling on a grenade, which is almost always fatal.

Real world version of the trope "I'm taking all of you with me": "You are not taking all of us with me".
