The reason I say that is because I have met numerous religious people who feel that autism and schizophrenia don't exist. They told me that they believe they are possessed by demons.

Organized religion suppresses free thought and knowledge in favor of blind faith and dogma.

Its just like joining a gang and has the big man at the head.

Very primitive psychosocial symbolism and archetypes wrapped up in modern religious practises.
Designed to make servile and obedient, not bad in principle for those needing discipline....like a bad dog..... but overall harmful in the long run due to repression of autonomous thinking and higher growth of self

I mean you wouldnt admonish a good dog who does little wrong.

religion does good things too,
after wars and disasters they are the first there

The overwhelming majority of the works of all the great religions are good. Now there are legitimate questions being asked at every level about the appropriateness of the church ( for one ) in its methods.
It is a question of survival for the Catholic church, whether to re-form or dissipate.
But there will always be an organised religion for those whom seek one, and that is a good thing IMHO.

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you get evil people doing evil things, and good people doing good things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion."

I don't know who first said this but Richard Dawkins has repeated it somewhere.

Being indecisive IS being not so sure. Are you not so sure about being not so sure?

Secular Humanism is an instance of organized religion. Also the Universalist Unitarian Church. These people are utterly harmless in a general sense although they do tend to vote Liberal Democrat. I understand they gave up burning question marks on people's lawns about 50 years ago.

midnight and we get a show on tv about NZ catholic paedophile Brother Bernard Mcgrath
everyone is asleep and will not see this
the show is exposing the ingrained child sex culture of catholic church priests and higher ups protecting each other from investigation

tonight's show focus's on a boys institute for unwell boys, in interview with victims, many seem PDDers and many autistics
typically much offending by catholic priests was toward aspies in the congregation
the most vulnerable were the most violated
maybe a catch phrase regarding some religion

Can we take it as read then that WP Strident Atheists aren't as dominant as one would expect? It's 60% for the 'yes' side, 40% for the 'no' side at the moment.

More unfounded claims of persecution by the religious.
