Hi I would call myself a Kemetic Luciferian (a blend of Ancient Egyptian and Luciferian practices) for ppl who don't know what Luciferianism is its a religion that venerates Lucifer. Luciferianism teaches self-reliance and to not follow ppl blindly my question is do other ppl think that Luciferianism is the perfect religion for Aspies?

I don't know any organized Luciferians, but I know the Temple of Set is absolutely rife with Aspies.

No, I am friends with a number of members who have mentioned the fact to me. Why do you challenge it?

Know what bothers me? When people think that Levayan Satanists are Luciferians. Or that Levayan Satanists are actual "Devil Worshippers".

What bothers me is when an Aspie assumes that whatever his or her special interest happens to be is shared by all Aspies everywhere, or that their special interest is an "Aspie Thing" just because they happen to find it interesting.

To Fnord I'm assuming your talking about me then in that case what I'm saying is that the question is not about my interests it's about the fact that Luciferianism teaches about to be the free thinking wolf and not the hive minded sheep (aka not a slave to social convention) one of the key traits of Aspergers and Autism.

LaVeyan Satanists just pretend to be devil-worshipers in order to be against Christians and their beliefs.

Sounds like typical atheists actually that claim to be non-believers of all religions, but they mainly target Christianianity for some reason. :?

Luciferianism is a faith based on Lucifer.

It does have a lot of self-reliance mentality, but Lucifer would emphasize that the individual determines what is good and evil, not God.

I do not accept it as an "Aspie" religion.

Actually Levay states in The Satanic Bible that there is no Satan but the idea of Satan represents the goal of putting yourself first. I've read TSB and the Satanic Rituals and the Satanic Witch and he really just sounds like Athiesm dressed up to look spooky. He said the rituals are there because mankind needs ritual to empower and affirm beliefs. It's based on Christian rite, and yes he does target Christianity. You also have to remember that Levay had been a carnie and a was from what I understand, a natural showman. He also saw an opportunity there to make money off. At the time he wrote his book, society was starting to allow people to publically reject traditional religious beliefs and it was starting to be more ok to show rebellion to long held social and religious conviction. He created a religion that didn't really require faith or belief and based it on narcissism and self interest and stuck a label on it that would guarantee shock value. So, not only could people join a religion that seemed to sum up their views but they could do so while rubbing it in the faces of those who would take that right away from them.

As much as I have read about Levayan Satanism, I just don't take it seriously. It's more of a social movement to me than it is a religious one. Or more of a personal philosophy.

Thers a lot of religons that promote free thinking or enlightnment thruogh solitary paths, so yuor question asking whether "Luciferianism" is a perfect religon for autistics just becuse it promotes self-reliance and free thuoght is a bit of a biased questin besids that suggests yuo are not aware of said othre religons. For the record, I am one who loves logic in addition to anthropology and mythology; so when I hear of a religon taht takes an originlly Roman polytheistic minour deity but casts it in the corupted Christian view of Satan and aditionally decides to hodge-podge in soem ancient Egyptian deities that is considred part of the manifesto of a culture and people distinct frim the pagan Romans and later Chrisianity, Im not inclined to take it seriously or respct it for any real wisdom or reflection of human nature or history.

The polls formulation was unhappily chosen perhaps; because by definition nothing true is perfect, definitely not 'a religion for Aspies'. I though find Occultism to be a name for some things on the spiritual/experience of nature level I've always felt inside so it could resonate with others as well.
It sure is a better option than todays common religions (perhaps except Zen, but of course this is all opinions) which in my opinion were an old way but sophisticated way to bring sameness over a growing populous and region of folks, abusing our brains wire for spiritual desire and replacing older naturalism beliefs still found in Africa and beyond.

Maybe not in a literal sense, but we may as well consider them as such. Their ideas are based on narcissism and extreme selfishness (as you said), something that is often associated with the Devil.

Although, come to think of it, Yahweh isn't any better.
