Care to elaborate? And with all do respect, and I mean it, this is an Americans only convo because this is an American issue. Excuse me where does it say that non-Americans are not allowed to post in certain topics that is racism or at the very least discrimination and shall not be tolerated! Yes you should not be exclusive to foreigners because most of the people on this planet are not American in case you didn't know. By making the ownership of guns illegal for civilians would make your life a lot easier by allowing you to not worry about having your brains blown out if you upset a redneck, not being gunned down in a killing spree, not being picked off by a sniper, not being shot in a mugging and not having to worry about waking up with a burglar aiming a bazooka at your head.

Guns are designed for killing. Whether it be humans or animals their main purpose is to kill or maim, though mostly kill. A gun designed for shooting targets already exists, it's called a paintball gun please get one their not as dangerous as real guns which shoot bullets and can kill.

I see two gun control sites, not even anything specific like stats, just links to them, and Wikipedia... I recently absolutely ripped someone for a much less feeble effort than that, and it's only your youth that's staying my hand now. Anyone can post a list of links to other people saying things they agree with, backing their opinions up with facts and argumentation is another matter entirely. Can you do that, or are you just going to link me to the same garbage I've been swatting aside for the last six years?

Did you miss the part where I told you that I design guns? I went to school for it, have a degree and everything. I also own several dozen of them, carry one every day, shoot regularly, and generally know a lot about them. What do you know about them that I don't?

I never said I know things about guns that you don't I merely said that guns are designed to kill people and animals but according to you their not designed to kill, for example you may be a bed maker you could say that you make beds to throw off cliffs, you would then say that beds are not designed to sleep on because you don't sleep on beds or you think that beds are better used to be thrown off cliffs, but in the end you didn't invent the bed so you can't and have no right to say what the bed was originally designed for.

Yeah, but I don't use lobby groups, or Wikipedia, as sources because they're polarized, they'll tilt their research in any direction they so choose. I use FBI stats and CDC info, not what a lobby group thinks.

Have a nasty of putting words in my mouth, eh? I didn't say more guns=less crime, I'm more or less trying convey that the CDC and FBI stated, simply, that it depends on what region of the US you're from. Chicago, for example, could CERTAINLY use less guns, but you don't run into the same problem in other cities and it only seems to be making the problem worse. A small town in Georgia requires people to own firearms and saw a moderate decrease in crime, where, in the Dakotas, they didn't do much in the way of tweaking gun laws, crime neither rose or fell. Bottom line, it's culture and traditions in combination with gun laws of the area.
