I have had a interest in conspiracy for quite a long time, however I am not willing to lacemy faith in all of them unwillingly since they seem to be unfounded upon empirical evidence. I believe in the theoryof the illuminati, however I believe it is essentially a pop-cultural form of Marxism in which one assesses society in terms of a corporate elite exploiting humanity for it own elitist interests. It seems natural as we go into a globalized society, for corporate muti-national companies to try and monopolize the market as they see fit and try and conglomorate political power as much as possible. This to me seems like a natural outcome of a coporatist society - multinational companies will naturally gravitate towards each other too maximise their own power and become a group with collective interests. I hope that makes sense.

The most interesting conspiracy theories are those backed up by fact. Have you heard of MKULTRA?

Even better. A bunch of Salafi Muslim guys managed to infiltrate the US. They then gained access to flight training programmes and eventually high-jacked several planes and flew them into the World Trade Centre and the Pentagon.

However, there are still idiots to this day who think that the US government was responsible! LOOOOOOOL!

Sorry, aside from the fact I'm quite sure there is evidence to show they could have prevented it rather than caused it, I do nt understand the implications of your post.

They could have prevented it, if they had known it was going to happen.

In retrospect we can take a handful of pieces of intelligence and say "they knew this and this and this, why didn't they stop them?". But they also knew tens of thousands of other things; picking out the relevant information before the event is extremely difficult. A trainee pilot requests a go on a Boeing 747 simulator very early in his training. In retrospect, he wanted to fly into a building. Without hindsight...

Yes true, although I feel with 9/11 I would have to spend so much time researching it that currently I cannot come to a conclusion. There are many other conspiracy theories founded in fact though like MKULTRA, OPERATION MIDNIGHT CLIMAX as well as the Jimmy Saville scandal. Also there is much evidence to show, as is displayed int he film Inside Job, that economical recessions are engineered and also that many banking dynasties such as J.P Morgan and Rockerfeller profited hugely of the Iraq War.

I also loved if SOME theories would be only scientific fiction.

That kind of thing is very popular amongst the more conspiracy minded elements of the ummah, as well as various far-left and far-right crackpots here.

I think there are conspiracy theories, then there are conspiracy theories. Some are clearly just plain paranoia, such as black helicopters or the idea that Bill Clinton had been gassing evangelicals. While others, such as the possibility that there may have been more involved with the Kennedy assassination than a lone angry man firing from the Book Depository building window have more credibility. Considering Oswald's Anti-Castro associations in New Orleans (David Ferrie, Guy Banister, and the loads of right wing Cuban exiles), plus the ballistics and witnesses.

If this person is interested in conspiracy theories, maybe it is best to not just post gifs that ridicule the conspiracy movement and instead find the conspiracies that actually have some basis in fact and have a discussion about them. Negation is not a form of creation. I would much rather have discussion with someone who sees that many banking families profited off the Iraq War and that 9/11 may have been used as a tool to justify such war than someone who is just dismissive of all conspiracy theories when some of them are known fact.
