Plus, based on what you've said, Russia is pretty much the same as the USA then.

It's not quite there yet, but it's heading in that direction. There are some similarities between the US now and Cold War Russia, especially with spying on citizens and the propaganda news agencies. We haven't yet gotten to the point where markets cannot provide enough food to shoppers.

I predict one day you will be able to go into any hospital anywhere in the world and it won't cost you a dime. They will all be pretty much the same, too.

because I like fast treatment without long waiting list

if you get cancer in a country with free healthcare good luck getting treatment in a timely manner, hell good luck even getting tested for the cancer in under 6 months

I take it you have never been on Medicaid and tried to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist to get that growing dark spot looked at.

By the way, when my seizures started getting much worse (suddenly from 1 or 2 a year to at least once a week), it took me over 5 months to get an appointment with my neurologist, who had been seeing me for years before that. Granted, my health insurance at the time wasn't the greatest, but I shudder to think how long my wait may have been without any insurance at all.

I think many people believe universal healthcare gives freebees to the "undeserving poor." So they come up with all sorts of loony conspiracy theories, such as that healthcare expansion is really a government power grab, or maybe even a commie conspiracy in order to justify their hardness of heart. Some like Rush Limbaugh use hardly disguised racism by claiming universal healthcare is really reparations for racism and slavery hidden under a new name, in order to inflame the basest prejudices people harbor.

After everything I've said, the only thing I hate about universal healthcare is it wasn't my choice to pay for it in my tax bills.

If I was asked if I wanted to, I might have said yes if I had enough money to do so. The difference is forced communism/socialism, as opposed to a democratically formed communism/socialism. It being not my choice, and Obama doing anything without congress at all ruined it for me. I oppose tyranny, but also forced socialism and unapproved war.

And was social security or Medicare ever put up to a vote? Or for that matter, is military escalation or the decision to declare war something the voters decide? As we live in a republic, the voters don't decide everything, but rather many matters are in the hands of congress. Nothing tyrannical about it. And if you don't like Obama using his presidential powers with the ACA, you have to remember this is a direct result of Republican obstructionism, thrown in the President's path at every turn simply to make him fail rather than out of any concern for the country.

Should be why are some Americans against universal heretical.
My reasons for being against it:
1) Because it's outside the role of government
2) Government is too corrupt and whimsical to handle anything like that

It won't do any good to try and convince me otherwise.

But will you be saying that if either you or a loved one needs to rely on the ACA?

Obama was democratically elected. Twice. If the American people didn't like his flagship policy, they shouldn't have voted for him.

That is how democracy works.

From 2008-2010 Obama, Pelosi and Reid inflicted upon the American populace a blitzkrieg campaign of Shock and Awe, passing every leftist agenda driven piece of legislation at Ramming Speed.

I don't think the ACA includes veterinary care.

And? Reagan had shoveled a right wing agenda on the country as fast as he could. That's what politicians do.

To hear liberals talk, the Reagan era was for them what the third reich was for Jews and Gypsies.

Not quite.
I was just bringing up Reagan to point out how Republicans had issued their agenda at the speed of machine gun fire as Obama allegedly had done.
