*Cough* non sequitur. Being against a two-state solution does not mean that you're pro war. The fact that Hamas violated the ceasefires is hard evidence of who's the aggressor.

This is a forum for people with aspergers.
It should not be used by people who have their own shady political agenda! If you find it necessary to discuss subjects like this on the internet you should do it elsewhere. Discussions like this usually lead to nothing anyway.

The only thing I have to add to all of this one- sided propaganda is that both parties are equally responsible for the mess they have created.

This is the one part of the website that is ring-fenced for people to articulate their political views. Its pretty condescending to presume that people with autism or aspergers don't, or shouldn't have an interest in politics.

If anything, more people with autism need to become politically vocal. Its the only way that autism rights are going to improve.

He's not saying that Israel gets a free pass, or that Israel is civilized, those ideas are beside the point. He's entirely talking about you. Is your sense of righteous indignation over Israel "motivated by genuine compassion for the innocents" or is motivated by a hatred of Israel/and or Jews? Or is it both? Do you feel the same sense of righteous indignation when you explore other situations in the world where people are oppressed? Explore what else goes on in the world, monitor your reaction, and ask yourself what really motivates your feelings towards the Israel/Palestine conflict. I would guess that the stuff in Israel really gets you going, gives you an emotional charge, while the other stuff going on around the world is fairly boring..... What gets you going more, who the oppressor is, or who is being oppressed?

Some Hamas science fair rocket does not justify the IDF leveling city blocks with cruise missiles and murdering hundreds of civilians. These Palestinians live in ghettos almost as bad as the ones Jews were forced to live in by the Nazis, how can Palestinian resistance be held against them in light of such persecution? In the US they shield us from all criticism of Israel and images of Palestinian suffering, you get labeled an anti-Semite for evening daring to suggest that we should cut aid to Israel which they do not need in the slightest. Eric Cantor, who just recently lost his primary, went so far to want aid to Israel not to be considered foreign aid at all.
