What's meant when talking about how you are not owed things for being nice is pretty simple: you do not have the right to a person's time or attention simply because you feel you are being nice to them. They can choose not to give you what you want. Since this is on the L&D forum I'm going to use the specific example of "Nice Guys".

A "Nice Guy" acts in what he believes is a kind, polite and chivalrous manner towards women. He hopes that in doing this, women will be attracted to him and give him their affection. However, it is quite possible that his behavior is not being perceived as nice and more importantly; any given woman might just not find him attractive for whatever reason. The "Nice Guy" gets upset at this. That's what we mean when we talk about entitlement. A person like this thinks of women like sex vending machines where if you put in enough Nice Tokens (TM) you get laid. That because he is being such a gentleman, it's cruel for a woman not to repay him with sex.

That's not how it works, though. Are you attracted to every woman who is nice to you? I'm going to guess not. I'd imagine there are some you might find unappealing as possible sexual partners. The same thing works with the gender flipped.

Does that make sense to you?

They always use sex as a straw man argument because they can't come up with a valid argument. Nobody expects them to have sex.

Sex or not, you have a FREAKISH OBSESSION WITH WOMEN and AN ARROGANT DESIRE TO FEEL VALIDATED FOR LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU SAY AND DO.

That's terrible advice, and it's also slanderous. You can't just flippantly accuse someone of a crime for petty emotional revenge. You should not be advising people to do this.

You're not a nice person. Why on Earth do you think this proper behavior?

Why do you have to retaliate for being "friendzoned?" Do you think you're a God, and that anyone who doesn't give you what you want is a heretic and sinner?

I don't have a girlfriend, I am a virgin, AND I DON'T CARE.

There's more to life than getting attention from women.

But apparently, that's everything to you for some reason.

Grow up.

EXACTLY.

This guy's basically Chris-chan II, if Chris-chan despised women instead of men.

He even admitted it and said "I wouldn't have done that if you CoD idiots treated me like a decent human being!" or whatever!

Like it's the college's fault for making Aaendi throw that fit, and not HIS fault for throwing it!

It's like he honestly believes he's physically and literally incapable of making any sort of mistake anywhere all the time!

Get over yourself, Aaendi! You are NOT as blameless as you think!

Well I'm not the one who screams and throws fits on college campuses, so I'd say Aaendi's the man-child here.

Do unto others as they would do unto you. I may not be big on Christianity, but I most definitely agree with this statement.

I'm also not big on SJWs, even though I'm a bit of one myself (oops). I think most SJWs are thin skinned and get offended way too easily, and the morals they actually practice clash heavily with the morals they preach. One of the biggest hypocrisies I've seen in SJW culture is how some will value feminism, while at the same time expressing hatred for men. That's no different than embracing masculinity while expressing hatred for women.

I agree. I mean, I understand people need to vent sometimes, but complaining about someone else's complaining is kind of ironic, and it's not really constructive.

I will say however, I think we live in a time where people are more visibly (and audibly) outspoken than they have ever been before, and this has brought out a lot of ugliness. It's easier than ever for someone to go up on a soapbox and exclaim their beliefs to the world, however ludicrous they may be. I hope that someday, the novelty of this wears off and people calm down a bit.

It is subtly different, but this isn't the place to go into why. IMO, the real problem is that the anger some "SJWs" have is not being utilized constructively.

Agreed... I think it's wonderful that people are so free to share their views, but openness to the views of others has apparently not caught up with that freedom. We get this sort of behavior as a result, among other things.

^ I know that "masculinity" isn't exactly the correct term for the male equivalent of feminism, but I wasn't sure what term to use. Would it be "masculism"?

Jesus Christ, HOW FAR ARE YOU WILLING TO GO TO BLAME OTHER PEOPLE FOR YOUR MISTAKES?! USING THE US GOVERNMENT AS A SCAPEGOAT?! JUST ADMIT YOU HAVE DIFFICULTY WITH WOMEN AND SOCIALIZING IN GENERAL, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

It's more like everyone uses me as a scapegoat. No matter what anybody does, it's my fault.

No, when other people f**k-up that's on them. When you f**k-up that's on you. It sounds as though you f**k-up more frequently, so you get blamed for doing so more often. It sucks going through life half-blind in social situations, you end up pissing people off with no understanding of how or why. This doesn't make it their fault, even if they refuse to correct you and just get angry. Their response is normal, if non-constructive.

If one behaves in ways that make others feel uncomfortable, others won't want to be friends or romantically involved with that person. Sorry.
