Since I just wrote a letter to the church of Norway, that stated: "I'm out" , I wanted to celebrate it with a little poll and a very simple question...

You arent one of those Goths that you get in Norway that go about burning churches are you?

What about an "other" option?
My favorite is Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

This is a hard choice. Mine is either Cat from Red Dwarf or Monkey from Monkey Magic.

I don't care for any of the others, I'm not fictional, so I picked Satan.

Some cool choices so far. So many great, good and evil characters to choose from.

Peter Wiggin from Ender's Game I loved how he wasnt all good but ended up saving the world.

Ooh, if we're going to go Orson Scott Card, I've got to throw in a vote for Petra, the girl "with so much testosterone they thought she was a boy". She couldn't draw power from an inhumanly perfect reputation like Peter or Ender could, she had to accept that she was a f***up and everyone knew it, and still have the courage to get up and do her job sans reward.

Though my favorite from Card's work is really Patience of Wyrms. That book raises all kinds of fascinating questions about neuroscience, dissociation and endurance.

I choose to not extensively address the fact that you seem to not only be making a statement but also possible trying to incite someone and instead merely acknowledge it and comment on other commenters.

I myself find it hard to choose just one; possibly Alucard from Hellsing, but that's a really stupid answer because he's kind of an arhcetype. Man is he awesome though- I love that a- what, 19 year old? 20 year old? I knew it at some point doing the math- year old female virgin can keep him whipped. ((She has to be a virgin or else he wouldn't want to turn her into a vampire; I forget if he wants to in the mange but he sure as heck does in the series))

Is there a point behind this question?

Nevertheless, I will give my answer. Elrond from tLotR. Any of my friends (IRL) will say that all I talk about is Lord of the Rings. For the evil characters, the White Witch from TCoN (Chronicles of Narnia) would have to be my favourite.
