Conservative.
I favor individual thinking, individual decision-making.
Lefties practice "collectivism".
Collectivists think some central government bureaucrat should decide how you should live.

Conservative myth about liberals; but believe as you like.
Could you explain more of what you mean by "Conservative myth" ?
The notion that liberals are incapable of individual thought, but lemminglike follow the groupthink is the myth of which I speak. Sure, liberals have been guilty at times of putting party loyalty over what's right, but so have conservatives.
It's not that lefties are incapable of independent thought, it's that they want control people, so they willfully surrender it to a bureaucrat.
A leftie sees a smoker, and thinks, "We need to control that person. Let's regulate and tax those cigarettes".
A leftie sees someone drinking a pop, "We need to control that person. Let's tax sugary drinks".
A leftie sees car emissions. "We need to control that person. Let's regulate and tax emissions".
None of those things you mentioned are particularly healthy, while car emissions and cigarette smoke can be harmful to others. Public interest is taken into account, and a little money for the greater good is raised through taxation.
As a matter of fact, the right has been guilty of trying to control people, in particular about what you do in the privacy of your own bedroom, and in particular, with whom. The right has tried to dictate to the rest of us who can and cannot go poop in a public facility. None of these things are of a public health concern, but rather, is all about prejudice.
