Truth is truth. If the delivery becomes the inportant part, then you end up with some dickhead feeding you a bunch of soothing lies...

"Perception is everything". And truth is often subjective. There are productive measures to convince people and win them over. And there are counterproductive measures that push people away.

^^^ :salut:

Very good point! But brings up an interesting point. Since people are different and some people hate meat, in the same way people view politics differently too. Thus people should agree to disagree on some points!

LOL....I was actually going to use cheese and croutons in my analogy----but the idea of a nice big steak appealed to me more.

Of course, I have to take into account the fact that some people don't eat meat for various reasons.

Or...I should have just used the honey/vinegar analogy.

Agree to disagree? I feel this theorem has frequently saved our species, frankly.......

I don't understand the emoticon placement.

Don't know if you follow the show or the books, but the three eyed raven is a game of thrones character. He acts somewhat autistic, is disabled and the actor bears a resemblance to me. I was going to use him as an avatar, but I'm attached to my current one.

There's a reason why I put it in quotation marks.

Although as far as the analogy goes, it's a matter of poor packaging that many are saying no thinks to.

Right now I'm favoring Monster Ultra Red because I like the flavor.

Would you really prefer good packaging to truth?

I have some really nice beach front property to sell, cool breezes, lots of sun. You would really be smart to buy it. I am in a bind and I need to move it quick. You would be taking advantage of me. I would through in a case of Monster ultra red. I need the money, you would really be doing me a tremendous favor. This is a smart move. It overlooks the most beautiful...did I mention the case of monster I would give you. It is a short walk to the beach...you would really be doing me a favor.

I speak of others.

So are you saying truth should be presented as sounding like derangement, hyperbole, paranoia, sensationalism, vengeance and butthurt?

Whether or not it should, how exactly should one portray the abnormal? Portraying it as normal wouldn't be right, but portraying it as abnormal might come off as unsettled from people in a field who are normally expected to remain settled.

In a far less overall overkill sensationalist fashion. It makes the left look more abnormal than Trump.
