Brictoria's signature seems fitting for a lot of what seems to be going on in the us right now.

"People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

It made me laugh to read it as the endcap of this thread to that point.

he is just a symptom of a deep character flaw in the US that has lasted since its founding.

Speculating on a person’s psychological fitness for an important job is NOT a road we should go down. It can easily be weaponized against autistic people and other “neuro minorities”.

That’s not what I was going to say though. Don’t you guys remember President Obama? He was a master of downplaying tough events. I assumed he was trying to keep people calm so he could solve the problem without general panic. I certainly felt safe back then, even though in hindsight I realize lots was going on.

Why is it that Trump supporters always seem to counter-argue with lame statements like "Yeah, but Obama..."?

News Flash: Barack Obama is no longer the President of the United States, and he is therefor irrelevant!

It doesn’t even take a layman speculating. There are plenty of mental health professionals that have gone on the record to say that djt is dangerously mentally unfit to be president and they keep saying so over and over sounding an alarm wondering why no one is listening to them and allowing him to stay and let things get worse. But they keep sounding the alarm because as experts in their field they feel obligated to do so vs just watch on in horror.

We're listening, Goldy.  It's just that nobody is listening to us.

Which makes me wonder if they’re also in on it, Or they’re letting him go down in flames so bad on purpose so that the next time the democrats control the country they have a better chance of holding onto power for a very long time.

Or maybe they’re just punishing people for not electing Hillary.

Or maybe it's a case of this ain't their circus and we're not their monkeys.

I mean, they only pretend to listen to us when they need our votes.  They're now in office, and they will likely stay in office until the next election when they will pretend to listen to us again.  Democrat, Republican, or whatever; we're just votes to them.

True. Very clear and obvious self interest in most politicians careers. Sooo, I guess unless they get a lot of pressure from their constituents on an issue they’re not going to do a damned thing about it because it doesn’t threaten their seat at the trough.

If you've gotta dump a trump, make sure to flush and wash your hands afterwards.
