After the Skripals and the murder of Dawn and now Navalny in Russia shouldn't citizens be worried? I mean, the whole world should really, but what other country let its own citizens be murdered by a rogue state and did nothing about it? Of course, if one was a conspiracy theorist one could easily see them in cahoots with Putin to murder their own citizens... but hey, as long as they get the votes, who cares if their voters are murdered, right? It's not like they even have half a brain cell to vote against their own death (whether through rogue states, or pandemics due to incompetence).

That said, you’re right that there is a real bind. Russia isn’t as strong as in the Cold War era but it does still have a lot of strengths that make more robust action very difficult.

I am not trying to fight Russia. Those guys will crawl through a desolate wasteland on their leg stumps and emerge on the other side to still kick another countries a**. Let them handle their own poisoning problems.

Better than expelling diplomats is not accepting funding...
