I really think this is it, really scared

I've been telling people about this for YEARS!

Putin will have to pass through many countries----before he gets to yours. And gets to western Europe, in general.

No, just no. Gang up on Russia yes, but not with nukes. Nukes would harm the neighboring countries and the whole world too much, and let's not even start with the innocent Russian civilians.

Personally, I'd like to believe that there's a terror balance that will prevent every country from using nukes. As in, no one will nuke anyone because they fear getting nuked themselves. So, even if this did lead to WW3 (let's hope not), there might not be any nukes used.

yea... probably not, though. Mainly because the world is still armed to its teeth with nuclear weapons, so it'll just immediately lead to mutual annihilation.
Nukes are not the first line of defense, they are the last.
Russia won't be nuked and won't nuke anyone anytime soon. They're merely testing out how far they can go - and it's probably pretty far, given that Ukraine would otherwise becomr a Nato member and then anything Putin does automatically triggers retaliation.

But if you're looking for nuclear threats, look at countries with existential threats or fears, look for a religious component that justifies genocide on your enemies. Look at Israel and the middle East, or North Korea. Or look for hubris: The US and the UK could be so stupid, but not against an enemy like Russia.

They are threatening a British warship in the Black Sea if that gets sunk it’s article 5 all the way with nato response then Russia response vise versa all the way to nukes.

Not good news at all.

Nuking Russia would be insane. It would lead to retaliation, and destruction, deaths, suffering, food shortages etc and fall-out over large parts of the world. It would solve nothing, just make things worse.

Even if Russia didn't have time to retaliate (unlikely), it would be punishing the people for their leader. There have been demonstrations against the attack in Moscow and St. Petersburg today. Prior to the attack, officials, including a high ranking ex-military, spoke up against such action. No country is unified in any one issue.

And punishing people for having another view than yourself is not something worthy of a free democracy. I don't know how anyone can support Putin's recent actions, but if they do, they are allowed to. Just like Americans are allowed to think that the war in Iraq was justified, despite the country not having WMD or being involved in 9/11.
