The age card has been very one sided against Biden when Trump is only three years younger.

One is built like Rick Sanchez and rides a Peloton daily while the other scoffs down McDonalds like Homer Simpson at a buffet

That's mostly because of all the other horribly wrong things there were and are with Trump.

Ending lobbying would be a great start for US to get its democracy back.

If your party is supported by at least x% (name the figure) of the electorate then the gov should finance it. Say give each $50 million to spend how they choose, advertising, salaries etc..

No more buying politicians or gov policy.

The amount would probably be more, but I doubt it'll happen any time soon and probably without a few political appointees being lynched. (Not that I support that, but realistically that's probably what would need to happen)

There's been just too much of a swing in favor of legalizing bribery from SCOTUS the last couple decades while simultaneously cracking down on laws that would improve the fairness of the voting process for regular Americans. Especially the Americans that are most likely to support banning bribery.

And people were recently trying to gaslight me into thinking that it's just rightwing media outlets convincing folks that he's senile. But, even 4 years ago, he was clearly not as sharp as he had been while VP. And I doubt very much that he would have won in 2020 if he hadn't been running against Trump.

Best to vote for Democrats up and down the ballot this November - as the only rank-and-file candidates are Democrats.

Actually, I do like Biden. I think he's accomplished a lot of good as President, despite his dismal debate performance. And I sincerely and honestly despise Trump!

Go on...

Personally, I agree with the statement. The Dems are what enables the GOP crazies to act the way that they do and still get elected. The Overton window has continually shifted to the right after the last few decades and there often times isn't even a left-leaning candidate available.

Biden is clearly better than Trump, but that's not really saying much as Trump is quite bad. The problem though is that Biden does do things like represent the banking industry and failed to really go after the GOP for not providing essential workers with proper support during the pandemic.

I can't imagine why on earth people believe the American Overton window has become more right-wing unless you may be talking about certain economic ideas. Relative to Europe and stuff, maybe you can make that case, but in US terms it still has shifted steadily leftward especially socially for the last few decades if not a century. It doesn't matter that the right occasionally wins elections. Just 20 years ago, gay marriage was deeply unpopular in the US public, and trans things weren't even a concern. Now, many left-voting people actually believe their opponents are inherently racist, sexist bigots, or otherwise evil or stupid.

Based on the things they say openly how could any other conclusion be made?
