I'm not an American but I have followed this.
My thoughts are that initially I was a bit disappointed, but significantly less so than 8 years ago.
I don't like him and believe him to have low character. He's frankly a criminal.
But my opinion doesn't change him becoming POTUS for the second time.
I accept it and try not to allow it to effect my life.

Here's what I find interesting. I notice many, many people are extremely upset about this. And understandably.
Yet, if you look at the 'left' end of the political spectrum (this is somewhat of a generalization), they can be extremely hypocritical.

A lot of them race bait and call people they disagree with racists. Yet if you are caucasian and hold a view on any subject, it can be dismissed by this crowd simply because you are white. You're white and privileged in their eyes.

If someone has a disability - which is basically the case for autistics - are they really privileged?

It's bigotry for the 'left' to go on their white privileged rants. They are blind to their hypocrisy.

So in a way, I'm glad a lot of people who are hypocrites are getting upset. There are other issues to with those who lean 'left'
that I don't agree with. There are some ways I'd find common ground with them.

Trump being elected is what it is. Some people are going to be quite upset about it. I do not care for him.
But I am not going to allow his presidency to affect me.

I don't understand why they would elect someone so old! They ran a whole campgain about how old man Biden was too old to be president and then they elect someone who will be older at the end of his term than Biden is now.

Despite the more muted reaction it’s worse this time. The first time around one can say it was just a protest vote, nobody expected him to win, being in office would humble him, make him more presidential, the allegations are just that, the Hollywood Tape was dated locker room talk.

In other words 2016 could be written off as a one time horrific lapse in judgement. None of that applied this time around. Behind slavery reelecting Trump is going to be the worst and longest lasting stain on America. That is arguably even more true if Trump really was the lesser evil.

One can benefit from privilege in one context and still have significant issues of their own to deal with. The one doesn't negate the other.

Being perceived as white benefits one by reducing the racist attitudes one is subjected to and the consequences that result from dealing with them.

That person can have a dozen other hardships in their life, but they still receive the benefit of not facing racial discrimination.

Have seen anyone ,whom appeared as a white Karen , Get discriminated against in a hospital . As the staff there was primarily black run .All low level staff, were of a coloured persuasion . And saw the woman present a appt card from the physical therapy dept. ...And the large fellow behind the desk , point blank . Told her she had NO appointment. This was just prior to the woke movement.
( these are just my experiences) It was clear to see that she was confused afterwards.

White people can and do face discrimination.
It is racist to call someone white and privileged.
Being white doesn't mean you don't face racism and it doesn't mean you are privileged.

Stomping and pouting like that is no weaker than any other argument you could have offered.

Tell me more about how being aware of institutional and structural racism is the real racism. I'm certain you have a very informed and persuasive argument to make.

All One can say here is the times they are a ' changin . It is in the interest of our Government to keep segragation alive at the core of Society . If all people acted in the interest of all people , This US government would dissolve.
No secret project slush fund or a extreme reduction in the military budget, Instead use the money to build social infrastructure , free education etc. Make all lives more worth living here. Could be a popular thing. Instead of a Corprotacrasy as benito Musselini, of Italy , WW2 fame., referred to his brand of fascism . Such as the USA is/ will be.

I feel America is for all people not just those who bow to Trump. I am and always be a progressive. I did not vote for Trump but I respect that the candidate I support is not always going to win. I can only hope now that the mid term elections will be won by democrats. I personally feel that the republicans owe their success partially to Joe Biden. Calling Trump supporters garbage solidified Trump's base and made Biden and the Democrats sound very elitist. I feel it won't take long before his supporters realize they made a big mistake.

"Juvenile" appears to be defined as when people don't agree your takes. I doubt there's anything positive to be gained from discussion with you, given that good faith is at the core of productive discussions and you don't appear to engage in good faith.

It is racist to assume a person is racist or is privileged, or both because a person is white.

The above should not be used to deny that if you are black or any minority the odds of being discriminated against are greater than if you are in a majority group.
