Is abortion the only thing relevant to women's rights? Sure seems like it.
State-ownership of the bodies of half the citizenry is a pretty big effing indication of their status.
And yes. Forced pregnancy and childbirth is a bit of a downer for women...and their children...and society.
The OP's comparison of this anti-choice agenda to Saudi Arabian treatment of women is accurate.
I wonder if the barbarians advocating such archaic policies will feel a bit of remorse when there are pregnant women jumping from buildings and staggering into ER's all across the country with intestines falling out their vaginas through uteruses perforated with a broken coke bottle-
they'd probably just wring their hands about the death of the fetus and scream "murdering whore" at her as she seized and evacuated her bowels in the final hemorrhagic shock prior to death.
There are already 16 year old girls paying people to viciously assault them with bats so they'll miscarry when they cannot tell or get consent from parents for a medical procedure, and hordes of children forced into the world unplanned for and unwanted, in ill-health because of a lack of pre-natal care or addicted to substances due to a lack of access to abortion.
I'd imagine the
seething hatred abortion opponents have for women and children is only-strengthened and made all the more hungry for blood and suffering and death by the "success" of their sadistic campaigns.
