peacemaker wanted me to put up a poll. I voted libertarian

Thanks ..only, I didn't vote libertarian because I have never voted before, because I thought there were no good political options until a few months ago.

So I can't really vote on this poll at the moment, or can I?

I didn't vote, either. The chances of a single vote influencing the outcome of a presidential election are essentially zero, so you trade your time for nothing (except possibly principle) if you vote.

I didn't vote for Badnarik, but I did vote for a few Libertarians for local races.

I am not old enough to vote yet. Even though I live in the US, I'm not sure if I will ever be eligible to vote. My political beliefs don't really seem to go along with any certain party. I am left-wing (both Republicans and Democrats are much more right-wing than I am), but I like a lot of what Libertarians stand for.

i'm not american but i agree with the social and foreign policies of the particular party.

What's Libertarian? Just another word for insane, right?

i believe the root word is liberty. The United states has several main liberal parties. The green party(Nader), the social workers party(similar to socialist), and of course libertarian.

I'm not surprised; I did. That doesn't mean all of should support the party, however. I've studied their platform repeatedly and their beliefs are incredibly extreme. They're the liberal equivalent of the Constitution Party.

Do you think most of the people that scored libertarian would agree, for example:

That all drugs, even harmful ones with no medical value, should be legalized?
That all taxes should be repealed?
That foreign aid should be entirely voluntary?
That Welfare should be eliminated?
That Public Education should be eliminated?
That "Hate Crime" laws should be eliminated?
That Social Security should be completely privatized?
That the US should withdraw from the UN?

There's sure to be plenty of people that agree with the basic libertarian ideology. What is preached by the party, however, is an extreme version of it.

So did I (but I scored "moderate conservative" on the ontheissues.org version). I'm surprised that there are people who don't, considering the questions they chose.

also, lets abolish the stupid patriot act. Ive noticed a lot of aspies are quite liberal. In this way we can communicate better amongst fellow aspies then the NTs can among themselves
