Where to you guys think our world is headed?
From whats going on in Syria and The Middle East, the United States acting as the Global Police Force, and the recently passed NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) of 2013, to Global Warming, Conflicting Religions and Political ideologies all around the world.... I'm honestly wondering where our world is headed.
I personally believe that the problem with this world is that no one wants to hear the other out, to see there perspective (NT's and Autistic's alike), were all too caught up in our own lives and our own (and our families) near and dear beliefs. I feel like if we don't come together, and try to figure some things out, we will continue on a path to self destruction.
Thoughts?
I think it's heading around the Sun, as usual. Where else would it go?
Do be honest I don't think the world changes so much as it goes through the same phases over and over again, the only difference is the phases differ in size. It's like picking up a ball and dropping it from a different height every time. Civilizations rise, then fall, then rise, then fall. I guess we're headed towards a big fall, to be followed by a rise sometime after.

True, but right now we have new technologies that could easily wipe us out, say, the United States set off WW3 in the middle east. Just hypothetically speaking, we have so much more in front of us now, and although were moving closer towards acceptance for everyone, were still, I believe, ignoring who we are. Look at Religion, I'll be honest, I believe in god, but just as we can express ourselves in different ways. After all, He created us in his image, right? I believe he can too. In a lot of religions, the names and sometimes the stories change, and the god (or gods) change, but overall, the message remains the same.

I recall the Romans were talking about the civic decline of Rome a couple of hundred years before the sack of Rome, so I'd say we have a few more years. More likely is stagnation and decades of relative decline. See Venice, the Netherlands (pre-1815), Colonial Spain, and the Eastern Roman Empire for it's last 200 years.
Now, that said, it's not out of the question to have a resurgence, and who's the next leader.....you can write a couple books on that.

No one knows where our world is headed (the human world, that is - the planet is more predictable), no one ever has and no one ever will. It's possible we'll extinct ourselves through overpopulation before any of the things you mention presents as serious as problem as simply too many people. But that's not for sure either.

Around the end of 2012 we went from Pisces into Aquarius during an event that has us time-clocked near the other side of the destruction of Atlantis or at least the peak of B'nai Elohim and Nephilim influence from 11,500 to 10,500BC, ending of course in a global catastrophe - ie. a flood caused by the passing of a large celestial body which easily could have been what we'd call a rogue planet.
Where we're at right now: population is pushing over 7 billion. We're globally connected in terms of information. Anything that happens of a significant enough nature sends out shock waves across the internet in all the world's publicly spoken languages within a day. At the same time we have the Vatican trying to figure out what they'll do when what they believe to be inevitable occurs - ie. alien contact, not privately but on a grand public scale. We have also an incredible vulnerability to solar events right now - ie. very few of our nuclear reactors have the protection from EMP or a massive solar event not to melt down if we should lose our whole grid).
Technically if you map the cycle of the ouroboros (ie. leviathan, apparent band of the Milky Way around the earth) you get a processional clock of 25,920 years. Interesting things seem to happen at every quadrant of that clock, ie. every 6480 years, however the destructive events are timed around half cycles or 12,960. Putting that in perspective there's something like a 400 to 450 year window between the sun moving through the mouth of the ouroboros as proper (ie. 12/21/12) and some kind of cataclysm - ie. the next big celestial calamity would, if that clock means anything as a clock, would be set to occur between the 25th and 26th centuries. Cataclysms seem to be time-locked to rising influence, again, of a certain thinking of the veil between the physical world as we know it and other dimensional realms, 4th being the most likely contender, from where the 'men of renown' (and women) as well as the sons and daughters of God (Genesis 6) start coming back, dominate us and sow their wild oats, and during that time we're likely to have more of them trying to have human/angel relations in ways that have generally, historically, had Yahweh seeing enough red in regard to their corruption to end the cycle again with a major disaster (my best guess: this happens because of the sheer potency of the effect - ie. man can't compete against powers and principalities, particularly in the flesh, and in a world where they have physical power there are fewer and fewer who can be saved - as far as I can tell God does NOT like sending people where the angels are going, particularly when they've taken their values for living under duress).
The overall gist about aliens/nephilim: They generally don't come back unless enough people of the occult are calling them back, if the right social shifts have occurred (or, perhaps, all of these things seem to fall in lock-step with procession of the equinox making it vice versa). If you ever have the chance to listen to something like a Pleiadian channeling they'll say that they made a mistake back in 10,500 BC that lead to the situation at that time and that they would be completely hands off in our 'ascension' process this time unless something catastrophic happened. My guess - alien contact *could* be broached by an unprotected power grid getting fried by a solar maximum. That could lead them to be needed in order to use their technologies (well beyond ours) for the sake of either building a sarcophagus around every nuclear facility or to get our power grid back up and running before we have thousands of Chernobyl's across the planet. What happens from there - I have no idea. On one hand some would claim that the alien races that claim to be parked around our planet are angels of the fallen variety, others might say its a 2/3 1/3 mix really depending more on the balance of heaven.
If it sounds like I took this way out into basket case territory, you just need to look into the occult more. If you give it honest research and try to find the best resources you'll find most of the channelings very much edifying the Christian beliefs, the Christian researchers edifying the Theosophic/New Age beliefs - albeit both have very different senses of what these events would mean; one would call it the beginning of a new Golden Age, the other - the start of the tribulation.
What do I personally think? I don't know for sure, part of me would be very surprised if we don't live in a drastically different world by 2030 or 2040 (ie. opening of the supernatural or close nit contact with other races) but I'd only go so far as to say that I trust that the information I've dug up and researched is at least *part* of the story, one that gives a general time clock but may not tell us the exact feel or flow of things to happen. As for believing in such things as the existence of the occult, occult agenda across the globe, or something very unusual about the bible - that's something I can't apologize for. I think anyone who reads and connects the dots with an open mind would likely end up with a similar set of conclusions as offered above.

It's a TURDIS, which stands for Travel Under Roads Down In Sewerage.
I think we're in for major change in this century. Even if the Tribulation doesn't come, or we don't end up ascending to a higher plane of existence as spiritual energies flood our plane, the current world system will collapse into a new dark age, or we'll take control of our destiny through technology and herald in a new, post-scarcity, technological utopia.
Or the aliens will wipe us out.
Or a 100km wide comet will come in from the dark and shatter Terra, leading to nearly all multicellular life dying (don't worry, we'll have a year or so lead time at least, enough to save a few thousand people at the very minimum).
Whatever happens, I don't think we'll remain with the status quo.

It will go where we will it to go and so far there's so much negativity, doom and gloom, bad will, doesn't look that promising. The good news is, humans can always change it. It's just a matter of wanting to.
Depends, are you a Spenglerite or a Toynbeeite?
I think a lot of it will honestly depend on if the new Tokamak Fusion reactor they are building in France works or not, if it does, then that just set us on a new path towards good things.. if not and it takes another 50 - 100 years to get one working.. who can say.. our biggest problem right now is not the stuff Malthus was worried about, but Energy. Global Petroleum reserves, besides the point of being horrible for the environment, can barely be pumped out of the ground fast enough to sate demand NOW, let alone in another few decades.. we probably have hundreds of years of petroleum left, but the easy stuff we've mostly used up.. and are having to resort to more and more destructive methods to extract it cause we can't wait for it to seep into wells like we used to be able to..
Who knows what we may find out as the they continue to bring the Large Haldron Collider up to higher and higher power outputs too, that alone could help us solve our energy problems by clueing us in to how the universe works.
We have the aptitude to fix all of our problems, we just may not have the time to do it before things start to get bad.
Bah. Tokamak is a waste of money. There are far better routes to fusion than that, which will lead to fusion which actually allows to price of electricity to drop.
Or we could just use space based solar power. Or put the in nearspace.
Human population is expected to peak at 9 billion in 2050. You could fit everyone into Canada and leave the rest of the world to nature if you used the most efficient farming methods, if the planet does warm up and make the land more habitable. Certainly, you could sustain the entire worlds population on the North American continent.
But everyone is awaiting the end of the world, it seems - Jews, Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Transhumanists, Survivalists, New Agers, Peak Oil Doomers...
It's a good time to be alive.
The USA will no longer be a super power and China will take its place as a super power and the next ice age will happen so I envision a colder world and run by Chinese people!
