You know what's more dumb? That you would waste 15 min watching that video (2 min was too much for me). Maybe those two are Atheist. That's what I think.

^ Hah I was just thinking "why did I just watch that?"
So convenient their "ghost" was no longer able to function after they unplugged the electricity from an electrical toy.
Clearly some people have been watching too much television. But to assume all Christians are stupid because of one brainless video on YouTube seems in itself not the most intelligent of responses.

Personally, I'm offended because I'm a Christian and he's targeting that group. Isn't that against the rules? I think this thread should be closed, but that's up to the moderators.

I'm pretty sure that bashing a specific group or groups is against the rules.

You can be a member of a site and still be trolling.

Troll: A person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion, often for their own amusement.

The degree of trolling will determine whether that person gets to stay a member or not.

If you think the topic is offensive, then it's best to report it as the mods, they can't read every thread posted.

Crap. I just let my phone update and I'm getting ads that pop up now. Isn't the captcha thing enough already?!

I don't like to report, because I believe in free speech and everyone has a right to voice their opinions. But if what they did is against the rules and others have been penalized by that rule, then this person should also be penalized (having thread shut down).

I'm all for free speech too, but we all agreed to abide by the rules to use the site. There are plenty of sites where people can post any rubbish they fancy but they should do it there not here.

The mods volunteer their time to keep the site free from spammers, trolls and pointless arguments. I imagine it's a thankless task and, IMO, members should help them out if they can. Personally I don't find this topic offensive, just dumb, so I will not be reporting it.

Freedom of speech doesn't cover insulting people. It means people having the right to express their views without being punished for it. For example, being allowed to say how you feel about political topics, such as abortion, fur farming or gay marriage. Suppose if you're against gay marriage, you have the right to say so. Calling gay people "f-----s" for example, isn't right and is not covered by freedom of speech.

its best to ignore idiocy. Having a discussion about it validates the idiocy.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. In the US right to free speech is written into the constitution and they have a more relaxed interpretation of what is allowed than we do. I would go as far as saying that British consideration of what is suitable as free speech is generally also more strict than most of Europe too, probably with exception of Germany.

Kraftie - Too true.

Since quoting posts wants to be a little piece of crap, I'll paste what I quoted to Angela's previous statements.

In other topics (and this one to boot), you have no problem criticizing other beliefs but when it comes to your own, that's off limits?

Sorry, but that's hypocritical. I'm a Catholic and could careless if people criticize my religion (mainly because I'm a left-leaning Catholic). When you get hyper defensive of your own religion, then it becomes an issue.

If I was "hyperdefensive" then I'd be running to a moderator like several others have done and try to get the thread shut down - but I believe everyone has a right to say what's on their mind. However, I don't call people dumb or stupid, etc., for their beliefs UNLESS they open their mouth first. I believe that all people should be made to follow the rules and no one should be given "special" treatment - which is what is being given here by keeping the thread open.
