I believe one has to take individuals into account more than entire ethnic groups.
I'm not going to look at a black person and say. "He's [or whatever gender] is black----therefore, he's inferior to me, and has a lower IQ, by virtue of he [or whatever gender] being black."

No neither will I. I wish my original post sent. The main reason why I said “race is important” is because we can derive valuable information from race, for instance some races are more prone to certain illnesses. This idea that race doesn’t matter (or doesn’t exist, even) isn’t helpful in my opinion.
It’s no secret that blacks are over represented in knife crime. I believe it’s a cultural problem, their idols are mostly gang members or degenerate rappers. It’s human nature to group people into categories and to make assumptions. I try my best to see people as individuals. All I really care about is “are they a nice person?” but I think it would be foolish of me not to make initial assumptions based on race. In the UK we had stop and search laws banned because they were seen as “racist”. Knife crime is rampant today. They said black people were being unfairly targeted more often than whites. In my opinion, a black person is more likely to carry a knife so they will need to be searched more often. It’s unfortunate if an innocent person gets searched but it has to happen to keep us all safe.
