is trump a national security risk due to his sacking the military heads leaving our country open for disadvantage in the event of a war? even more so than for his blatant covering for poootin?

If I wanted to design a weapon to destroy the US from within, it would behave exactly as Donald Trump has.

He's going to leave America politically and economically isolated, brain-drained and possibly in civil war.

Anyhoo, that's Trump's America. I grew up seeing America in a cold war state with everyone that Trump is now trying to align with, and America was allied with everyone that Trump is now ditching.

He's devoted to turning what was seriously reaching full Liberal Democracy into an Illiberal Democracy.

America's traditional allies should get together and create their own block for mutual support.

I am around 99.999999999999% certain he is a literal traitor. The single greatest traitor in the entire history of the world, bar none. Putin got his man on the throne to destroy NATO from within. Trump started it with that ludicrous sabre-rattling in January; now he is simultaneously destroying all branches of the US government whilst pushing Putin's agenda on the world stage. When WIII starts, we will have already lost, because he has already betrayed us. And his supporters still think they're "patriots". If there is a Hell, they will need to invent new torments for him.

He admires tyrants because he wants to be one.

He has shown complete obliviousness regarding the reason information is classified and should be protected.

He sees the U.S. government as something he has earned the right to use to satisfy his personal goals...for fame and attention, for enriching himself, for avenging against anyone whom he sees as a real or imagined personal-enemy.

He believes his office does not come with any obligation to serve the nation. Rather, the reverse.

Trump needs to be replaced. It's time for the US to fire him.

He is destroying or has destroyed relationships with other countries that took decades to create.

Ukraine is exposing this Achilles heel of NATO the longer Zelenskyy keeps mentioning this.

So he’s becoming a kind of embarrassment undermining NATO and article 5.

The U.S. has a huge nuclear stockpile of its own, which is designed to deter nuclear attacks on America via the doctrine of mutually assured destruction, or MAD. Any country that launches a nuclear weapon at the U.S. can expect a swift and overwhelming response in kind, that it would find impossible to block. So, is Putin's Russia prepared to commit suicide rather than giving up the idea of invading Ukraine? No, what would be the point of that?!

I think the current situation is something of an incredibly unpleasant impasse.

Possibly the simplest next situation to reach is whatever follows Russia removing Putin.

Yesterday the New Zealand Prime Minister suggested that it "may be time" for NZ after many years to withdraw from the Five Eyes security alliance. Although this was not elaborated, it was pretty obvious to guess "why this, why now".

Trump doesn't care about anything or anyone other than himself.

That includes the US. That includes the people of the US. Our security is not anything he is concerned about.

Is New Zealand thinking of creating a nuclear deterrence? I think many countries that can will be doing that.
