yeah, i remember. it seems to be human nature to want to partake in/consume an entity more when they are being told by others that they should not be doing so. free advertising, too!

people who disregard this basic fact and tendency when trying to get something shut down are doomed to fail every time.

I would largely agree, and think it's funny how often people fall for trolling based marketing schemes, but have to point out the exception of the Dixie Chicks, who made the mistake of crossing their own fan base and paid the price.

I really wish someone in authority would tell me that I'm not allowed to eat vegetables.

As I understand it, Lena Dunham had kissed her baby sibling on the mouth when she was hardly more than a baby. Then in her teen years had masturbated in the same bedroom with the same sibling. Hardly pedophilia by any definition, save that of vindictive right wingers who keep having to bring Dunham up whenever a morally priggish far right conservative proves to have feet of clay on moral issues.

Naw, it went further than that. Go read what Lena said, surprised you haven't already read the book. If Milo wrote what she wrote then he'd be getting in trouble.

I think Milo will be fine but I think it's ridiculous how they've taken him down professionally but this what the left-wing media machine specializes in. The guy lives off notoriety and this bring more it, he rose out of total obscurity to begin with I should remind you.

It wasn't the liberal media machine that took him down, but the right, which he had foolishly thought embraced him despite being gay. Even Breitbart has dropped him.

^^^
And as far as Dunham is concerned: if you're referring to the incident, again as a very young child, where she out of curiosity looked at her baby sister's vagina to see if it looked like hers, then again you guys on the right are just making yourselves look foolish. As I recall, your side of the aisle started condemning Dunham for recalling how she was a curious child when the Duggar kid made the news for actually sexually abusing his sisters as a teen. There's a huge difference.

More on Fake News:

https://news.grabien.com/story-brzezins ... ople-think

From the article :

"Controlling "exactly what people think" is the job of the media, MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski boldly declared Wednesday morning."

ON TRUMP:

"And it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think," Brzezinski said. "And that, that is our job."

NOT.

I was reading an article by someone who tried to have a Trump free week. Meaning avoiding hearing or reading about Trump and it was nearly impossible. I opened CNN the other day and it seemed like 80% of the page was Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump. If not already, he's going to become the most publicized person in history. Facebook, Twitter, Reddit etc... Trump Trump Trump.

Now that's scary. I guess. I mean it didn't help them with the election.

I don't think the media should "control what we think," like Trump should not "control what we think."

But THEY think they should. I don't like the way that they are making Trump into the enemy. I do think the media does have the ability to brainwash people. And I don't care what anyone says, the media is mostly Leftist. All they have to do is keep repeating things (true or not) and people start to believe it. A lot of stories are untrue and the media needs to be held responsible for it - that is why Trump started the Fake News movement.

Oh, no, right wing (so called) news sites don't give fake news! They just give alternative facts. :P

Well Nurseangela has not answered my question. That's a shame. I'm honestly trying to understand her perspectives.

Would someone else who shares her sentiments concerning the president care to answer?

Good for him:

Pence makes surprise visit to vandalized Jewish cemetery

Vice President Pence on Wednesday made a surprise visit to a historic Jewish cemetery near St. Louis to condemn the recent vandalism that took place there.

“From the heart, there is no place in America for hatred or acts of prejudice or violence or anti-Semitism,” he said.

Pence called Missouri’s response to the incident “inspiring" while standing next to Eric Greitens (R), the state’s first Jewish governor.

Pence decried the vandalism as “a sad reminder of the work that still must be done to root out hate and prejudice and evil” during a speech earlier Wednesday in St. Louis.

After his remarks at the cemetery, the vice president and the governor listened to a prayer from a rabbi and then cleared brush with volunteers taking part in a beautification project.

Vandals toppled more than 100 headstones on Monday at the Chesed Shel Emeth Society cemetery in University City, a suburb of St. Louis.

The incident added to questions about a rise in acts of anti-Semitism around the country.

The vandalism occurred on the same day that 11 Jewish community centers across the country received phoned-in bomb threats. The calls, which have all turned out to be hoaxes, have targeted 54 community centers in 27 states so far this year.

I think it's like the movies, "Unforgiven", "Dirty Dozen", or "Suicide Squad" where the villains are what they call "anti-heros".

People think anti-heros like Trump can succeed where "cleaner" people would fail.

For example, a "cleaner" person might be so worried about perceptions that they back down when they get called "racist".
