Ah, that's it!

Mr. Beck was seeking to destroy Fox News from within, by making it look absolutely ridiculous.

Well, it does look absolutely ridiculous, to people who are educated.

I guess this cnbc article is a figment of my imagination then:

"All we have to have is a couple badly placed hurricanes which could constrain some of the refinery output capacity in some key locations," says Richard Hastings, strategist at Global Hunter Securities in Charlotte, N.C. "If you get weakness in the dollar concurrent with the strong driving season concurrent with the impact of one or two hurricanes in the wrong place, prices could go up in a quasi-exponential manner."

He may act odd, but to casually dismiss him is being proven once again to be foolish.

I agree with you, as I know for a fact that if the church dislikes what a member says in public then, the church tells that member in private to behaviour themselves or risk losing there church membership.

That you probably just posted an article or fragment of a video of Glenn Beck taken way out of context again. Seriously, this is why I don't take anyone on the left seriously when it comes to Glenn Beck, it's almost like liberals have a mental condition called Beck-derangement syndrome.

You do realize not everyone in a particular religion has the same political views.

Not true for Jews where political view range from left to right and right to left. The Neo-Cons initially were a group of Jewish ex leftists. They were totally disillusioned with the left, so they went right.

Although I do recall how Mormon leaders booed Harry Reid in his last election, when meeting with them, and how they swore they'd support the she-cretin Sharon Angle over values and "socialism."
On top of that, the most Mormon state in the Union, Utah, is also the most red. That's new red Republican, not old red communist.

I know Harry is a Mormon. Members of his own church took the side of his dingbat opposition.

during the anti-communist 50's the Mormon leadership went crypto on the leftism
started making speeches against godless communism, -get it- invariably using that qualifier.
some of the rank and file were not clever enough to catch on and went native.
but as soon as they get word from "the brotheren" they will become commie as hell.

And there's precedent for that, too, going back to Deseret's bid for statehood.

OTOH they will have to speak more clearly on the matter than they have recently. The Utah state legislature has ignored the church on the issue of basic rights for homsexuals, and a lot of mormons are openly critical of the church leadership's stance on illegal immigrants (e.g. "treat them like human beings with families" = commie liberal).

This was from a couple of years ago, but in 2008 he received a $100 million signing bonus, plus $38 million per year through 2016, for a total deal worth $400 million.

Is this heap of rubbish worth the money?

On the one hand, one might argue that Clear Channel Communications is willing to pay him $400 million for 8 years of ranting and raving, so he must be worth $400 million.

On the other hand, there are considerable costs to society associated with this rabble-rouser's inane ramblings, disturbances to the peace, misinformation and distortion, that that $400 million could have been better spent on something like orphanages, or perhaps to provide treatment to molested children in the Dominican Republic.

Or, maybe Clear Channel Communications could have hired some intelligent, level-headed and perspicacious news-analysts with the money.

Vote and discuss amongst yourselves.

Well, compare apples to apples then, how much are other radio celebrities paid? No, I don't think people really need to be paid that much money for sitting down and expressing opinions (although since I'm doing that right now I wouldn't mind getting paid for it :P ).
