Two problems with your statement:

1. I am a socialist. President Obama is a Keynesian capitalist (a moderate progressive).

2. Socialism and communism represent entirely different positions on the far left.

You can tell that to people on the right till you're blue in the face, but they'll never stop insisting Obama is a socialist, no more than they'll stop equating socialism with communism.
