Men still form the majority who run politics and business almost everywhere. Most women still enjoy and desire the company of men. I doubt this will ever change. I don't think you can get a clear picture by looking just at this masculinist video anymore than you can get one from focusing solely on feminist ideas.

There is one point made in this video that I agree with. Most of it seems like BS but I have noticed underlying anti-male messages in the world around me even in elementary school.

There is stigma against men. Males are stupid and even young boys believe that.

There are still biases in favour of males and those are less subtle. Stigma is subtle. Messages and implications are subtle. What isn't subtle is that the majority of successful politicians are male. If you define success as becoming the prime minister or president than all the successful politicians are male. If being a successful politician means being well known then there are some successful female politicians but they are a minority.


I one question about politics though. I only know who is the mayor of three cities. I know who the mayor of Brampton and Mississauga are and most people know of Mayor Ford. Two out of three of the mayors I know of are female. I don't know what the actual trend is.


I want to see the statistics for small time political leaders such as town mayors. What is the trend at the municipal level?
