its all to do with being "socially acceptable" Prostitution is not in the same way mild drug use is not ie cannabis and so no one wants to pass a law as it might make them look bad in the eyes of the public

Interesting snippets from a longer interview

Apparently the human species is naturally promiscuous. The idea of marriage seems to have evolved with agriculture, when a man would identify a woman (or women) as his exclusive property for coitus, because he was concerned about accumulating property to pass down to his sons. Prior to that, it appears that women would have been shared. And, it would have been natural for a woman to be inseminated by multiple men.

Hence, the modern executive ejaculatory administrator, who enjoys coitus with numerous men each day, is only doing what is natural for our species, and is earning a living off the deal.

Given that the following situation does exist for at least some modern folks in monogamous relationships:

I wonder why more Feminists aren't interested in returning to a more primitive, pre-Patriarchal state, where free love reigned supreme? Where we would all go about enjoying our lives like the bonobos do?

Monogamy does seem to leave both men and women sexually dissatisfied, and may account for a good measure of society's dysfunction and modern dystopia.

But, both Feminists and Patriarchs appear to have a vested interest in maintaining the Patriarchal system of spouse ownership, as it evolved with agriculture. This is a system that both sides seem to be determined to exploit to their own advantage. The Patriarchs to have a woman to control, and to give them legitimate offspring. And, the Feminists to have someone to pay child support and alimony.

Really, unless a woman goes out to find a partner and initiate sex without expecting him to do anything to first "win" the prize, in one way or another, a man winds up "paying" for sex either in gifts, entertainment, etc. because he is expected to win her over from a "no" or "maybe" to a "yes."

I've always found the whole 'all men pay for it' to be another way of saying 'all women are prostitutes.' I find it misogynistic. I like sex and I have with my partner without expecting anything from it other than sex.

To concur slightly with zero, you may well find that you are the exception rather than the rule.

I do believe that woman enter relationships for non-sexual reasons other than money or gifts (non sexual affection and status) however I've encountered (or heard of) very few women that are even mildy nymphomaniacal. They are for sure a rare breed. There is a huuuuge assymetry with men on that front.

Why is it nymphomaniacal to have a sex drive that matches a man's? It's not that rare and I think it's just a variation on normal, rather than 'nymphomania.' Maybe it'd be more common if it wasn't stigmatised as nymphomania?

Nymphomania to me suggests not being in control of yourself and being a sex addict, not just having a high sex drive, which is a different thing.

It'd definitely be more common if women weren't ashamed of their bodies, if they had partners who made the effort to get them off and if they had the damn confidence to tell their partners what they want. I used to have a really low sex drive as far as men were concerned because I hadn't met one that wasn't sexually selfish and because I still felt I was too ugly to have sex. I actually think most women have higher sex drives than men, it's just that the female sex drive can be turned off very easily with even the slightest hint of shame or not being valued.

^ It can be overcome. I have a high sex drive now although I'm not a nymphomaniac. My sexuality just needed unlocking.

But I guess there's a lot of money to be made from most women being repressed and anxious, in multiple industries.

This model of human-female sexuality differs from the other one of which I had heard. I can't remember to whom it was attributed, but the gist of it was that women used their sexuality to mate themselves with the most dominant male, who would be able to offer the best protection to her and to her brood. I think that most pick-up artists (PUA's) operate under this model, and probably a good chunk of modern human society. A woman left to fend for herself, with a baby whose father was unknown, probably wouldn't be able to survive.

However, in a pre-agricultural society, where there was no personal property for a man to leave his legitimate heirs, and where children were raised communally, it wouldn't make any difference who the father was of any specific child. They could all copulate as they pleased.

And, during the day, a woman is perfectly capable of sexually satisfying or wearing out ten or more men, while she enjoys a multitude of orgasms.

It does seem that, biologically, our species is more naturally geared towards promiscuity. The system of human pairing may have been an adaptation to the rigors of agricultural life.

I'm guessing that, for our hunter-gatherer ancestors, who were naturally promiscuous, rape was not considered any sort of crime.

I've observed orangutans in a zoo. If a male orangutan wants some, then he just grabs the nearest female and goes to it. No ascertaining whether she wants it, too. No foreplay. She just lies down and waits for him to finish. And, he kept at it for a good 10-15 minutes.

If you live in a community where the identity of the father is of no relevance, then, why not?

As human society evolved, rape came to be regarded as a serious property crime.

Deuteronomy 22 wrote:
Suppose a man is caught raping a young woman who is not engaged. He is to pay her father the bride price of fifty pieces of silver, and she is to become his wife, because he forced her to have intercourse with him. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.

The girl's preferences or inconveniences were of no importance. She was her father's property, whose value would have been sullied if she had been raped. The rapist is required to compensate the father, and is barred from ever divorcing his daughter.

Also in

Deuteronomy 22 wrote:
Suppose a man marries a young woman and later he decides he doesn't want her. So he makes up false charges against her, accusing her of not being a virgin when they got married.

If this happens, the young woman's parents are to take the blood-stained wedding sheet that proves she was a virgin, and they are to show it in court to the town leaders. Her father will say to them, "I gave my daughter to this man in marriage, and now he doesn't want her. He has made false charges against her, saying that she was not a virgin when he married her. But here is the proof that my daughter was a virgin; look at the bloodstains on the wedding sheet!" Then the town leaders are to take the husband and beat him. They are also to fine him a hundred pieces of silver and give the money to the young woman's father, because the man has brought disgrace on an Israelite woman. Moreover, she will continue to be his wife, and he can never divorce her as long as he lives.

But if the charge is true and there is no proof that she was a virgin, then they are to take her out to the entrance of her father's house, where the men of her city are to stone her to death. She has done a shameful thing among our people by having intercourse before she was married, while she was still living in her father's house. In this way you will get rid of this evil.

They still do this in Tonga, by the way. Not the stoning-to-death part. But, if the bride turns out not to have been a virgin, then the husband has grounds for divorce.

Deuteronomy 22 wrote:
No man is to disgrace his father by having intercourse with any of his father's wives.

Your father's wives are off limits. Also, his concubines. In 1 Kings 2, Adonijah made the fatal mistake of asking his half-brother King Solomon if he could pretty-please marry their father's lovely concubine Abishag.

Now, of course, rape is a major no-no. But, it still seems rather common. I'm not seeking to excuse rape or any form of non-consensual coitus. But, it does seem that, for our species, rape wasn't a big deal until it became a property crime some 3000 years ago. And, rapes still are especially common in warfare.

I've known a lot of prostitutes in my life time.

I don't see them as criminals.

There is much more criminality in this world than prostitution.

But that's just my humble opinion.

Hmm..well while some men may be impressed with the size of Ron's tool...

It's a little more than a tool..that makes a woman willing...

But i guess..that's just my experience..from delving into the female mind..before i got married at 29...

There were thousands.. literally thousands i delved in..

Cum to think of it, the world's first porn star was Absalom.

2 Samuel 16 wrote:
Then Absalom turned to Ahithophel and said, “Now that we are here, what do you advise us to do?”

Ahithophel answered, “Go and have intercourse with your father's concubines whom he left behind to take care of the palace. Then everyone in Israel will know that your father regards you as his enemy, and your followers will be greatly encouraged.” So they set up a tent for Absalom on the palace roof, and in the sight of everyone Absalom went in and had intercourse with his father's concubines.

Absalom's father, King David, did have a rather substantial personal copulation cabinet. Not like Solomon's, but still....

this does lend support to the argument that the gents were much better endowed during Biblical times than we are today.

Also, King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. A modern man would find it impossible to keep such a large harem satisfied, although most of us would very much enjoy trying.
