First, I'm no bully although many people who I assume share your mindset will have "bully" as their go to word. After all, if you call me a bully, and bullying is in the eye of the victim because a bully never admits it, then no matter what I say you're right and I'm a bully, no? But your feelings have nothing to do with facts and the facts are I'm not bullying anyone. I'm discussing my feelings about this movement on a forum. I'm not posting on your FB timeline insulting you. Stating my feelings about a movement and my take on the folks involved, in general, isn't bullying.
Just because I say its whining doesn't mean someone's feelings are invalid. There are no invalid feelings, including mine. We feel what we feel. It's there. It's real. It's in our heads and we may choose to talk about it, but its valid. It may not be based on facts but its real. Feelings can be incorrect but they are still valid. If I said I felt you were targeting me because I'm high functioning and I encourage others to try to improve their skills, that would be valid. It would be what was in my head (in this example, it's not really there. I pulled it out of my ass) but it might or might not be correct. If it's incorrect it's still a real and valid feeling. Telling someone that x isn't meant as offensive isn't invalidating their feelings. Telling someone that they are annoying when they keep on about how they may feel that your cowboy boots are cultural appropriation isn't telling them that their feelings are invalid. It's telling them they are wrong about intent, or annoying, or even silly and its not the same as valid.
I don't understand everyone's feelings but I don't think most of them are silly and overblown. I think that some of this crap is though. And most people I know do too. Why is it OK for you to say that "Hi, nice to meet you. Are you new here? Yeah, where are you from" is racist but its bullying for me to say I think it's whining? You can label my words but I can't label yours? What makes you so special then? (Collective you, not you you. Calm down)
To be honest it's not normal to be so overly sensitive and paranoid that you find fault with multiple small things that aren't even noticable nor intended in the slightest way to be offensive and you get upset over such tiny things. By normal I dont mean average. I mean majority. I'm not saying you can't feel that way, you can. But I'm saying that it's probably a lot easier on you to get some help for the problem so you aren't always worried about being offended or being offended or getting over being offended, because no matter what somebody will offend you without meaning to and some will just to watch you get upset. If you say why should I change, it's because you are feeling a lot of distress. Why wouldn't you want to get that treated? That's what people used to do and they felt better after.
I don't call it whining because I'm some bully. I call it that because it is. It's complaining annoyingly about a trivial things that doesn't upset many people and wouldn't upset many people. It's acting like your feelings are so important that just refraining from insulting people and doing any of the thousand things everybody knows are rude or offensive isn't enough, you want people to learn special rules to deal with you. And that's not only annoying and whining, it's entitled too.
The difference between what I'm doing and they are doing is I'm annoyed by this but it doesn't effect my emotions. The most I would feel is embarrassed that people might think we are all that way over here. I don't expect you to stop because I don't like it,and I have no desire to put social pressure on you to. I do desire to speak up about what bothers me if all you guys are going to do is walk around talking about what upsets you andigjt upset everybody else, constantly. It's whiney. It's not the same as whatever you did in school when a bully hurt you. This is ridiculous. Jazz hands. Really. Somebody defend that s**t with a straight face.
Why is developing a thicker skin so wrong? What's so terrible about it? Why not work on that? You will be a lot happier not being triggered daily.
Why do you think you get to decide what the "right" things are to get upset over?
Same reason you do.

The socialist left will haul anyone over the coals if they say anything that isn't PC.
Is pretending to be Kanye West considered non-PC? It is a fact that white people ridiculed and stereotyped blacks for decades using blackface. It's not unreasonable to be concerned about that.
From what I understand she likes Kanye West so she wanted to dress up like him.
She's from a Basketball (Or Netball) team over here.
Blackface is that hideous black with white around the eyes I can see why it is distasteful.
But she didn't have that on she just looked like she put to much fake tan on.
So she looked like Kim dressing up as Kanye? And could Kim dress up as him without being called a racist? If she could then it makes no sense because she's white, there is no such thing as black by injection.

I have to admit, I love it when someone creates a thread like this, and the targets of said thread show up and prove its premise, like the apocryphal "I didn't do it, but he also had it coming" defense.

If that makes me a target for the nasty personalised namecalling that is so common on this forum, so be it. There seems to be a direct link between those who call others names and those who hate political correctness, as if one justifies the other. It doesn't.

All I wanted was to discuss a list.
The only person to give me one wasn't a sjw and clapping wasn't on it either.
Sad jazz hands here

the above page describes what a lot of it is about. it is about persons in a dominant group trivializing the concerns of people in an oppressed or marginalized group.

I didn't mean to start the argument and I'm.not even reading it. I'm doing my own thing cause it's not about what I wanted to talk about. I've glanced but that's all.
I say though, let's let them keep at it and see which one caves first. They are grown and its consensual. I wrote trigger warning in shorthand.we are covered.
By caves I mean storms out in an upset huff WITH a flounce, manages to finesse anough shrill into their typed words to start my dogs howling, or calls the other ones mother a whore.
I honestly think either side could do any or all of those. Im not interested im watching but ill tale your word for the win. What odds you give me?
Off to poke my nose in others business. Good luck and may the best non gender biased noun win.

Because SJWs are trying to destroy the world by asking people to be a little more thoughtful and kind in their interactions with people different from themselves, didn't you know that??

Lol, no doubt. I actually find it distasteful when people don't follow their own self-interests.
Here's an example: SJW argue inclusions for EVERYONE. I'm an autistic that could benefit from this approach since I'm marginalized myself. My solution, beat down that damn SJW, RAWR!! !
"Cultural Bolshevism, or in German Kulturbolschewismus,[1] was a term widely used during the Third Reich by critics who denounced modernism in the arts, particularly when seeking to discredit more nihilistic forms of expression. As many modernists embraced Marxism while rejecting traditional values, Cultural Bolshevism and the similarly pejorative term "Cultural Marxism" also took on political overtones. "
so why are you rabbiting nazi propoganda Jacoby?
What a disingenuous load of old trousers.
Cultural Marxism as a concept has a valid modern academic definition and application as I'm sure you're well aware.
You're using a label to describe people who refuse to believe the myth that the status quo is a reflection of the natural order. I'm reminded of the "noble lies, deadly truths" by Leo Strauss. And more importantly, it's a pejorative label for those who dare to acknowledge that social norms, culture, and religion are human inventions. The horror!
You're a BS artist. This notion that we have to choose between self-righteous PC culture and righwing identity politics is a false dichotomy.
Politics is not about morality, it's about power. Political correctness is nothing more than a modern incarnation of the holier than thou complex. PC people try to assert moral superiority and ideological purity as a means of jockeying for status. If you stop taking American culture and politics and face value and take a closer look at what people actually *do*, you might learn something and be taken seriously for once!
Nice strawman!
Evidently you cannot make the distinction between saying the right things(to bolster your reputation and cultivate a reputation for moral supremacy over others) vs doing the right things(like treating people with respect by default and knowing your audience when you talk to someone from a different group).

But it's ok to talk s**t about them outside their group and support policies that run them into the ground-- you know as long as you say the right things in front of them they should just be happy and get the f**k over it already.
edit: for some reason the initial quote had a part garbled out.
