A 17 year old Feminist isn't so far-fetched, in fact, this millenial generation about my age are absolutely full of little third-wave feminists.

And their boyfriends? Somewhat submissive males who are also 'feminists' and coincidentally almost always skinny guys, slightly effeminate, extremely nerdy/geeky.

Every girl I've dated has constantly been infected with this trend.

I believe, when it comes to dating, for the first three dates, whoever does the asking should do the paying, out of politeness and courtesy, and then after that it should be split.

Instead, every gal I've dated has absolute insisted on always paying for everything for herself - even my ex-girlfriend's mother suggested I should be the one who pays for our third date 'to treat her' as her family payed for me when I first met them, but that never happened.

I'm too traditional and chivalrous sometimes for these neo-feminists.

And those same girls cheat on those guys with muscular men, yet they would never date muscular men. Men with muscles equates to higher testosterone. Men with higher testosterone aren't as easily manipulated.

They only cheat with muscular men so long as those musclemen are tall. I've observed that height is often more attractive to women than big muscles. A lot of musclemen aren't born with that build, they develop it through discipline. But in particular, it is muscular men who are also ATHLETIC that women cheat on their partners with! I mean srsly, those powerlifters whose pictures you posted a while back are gross, ugly_ass lards. There is a difference between being muscular and being a roided out bodybuilder!

Keep in mind that musculature and height are not the only things that turn women on....musical talent works just as well if not moreso along with being very extroverted and charismatic.

I don't remember who I posted, aside from Van Damme. If that's the case, that's absurd. I don't recall ever posting pictures of actually powerlifters. Also, are you a man, or are you a woman?

Most bodybuilders are 5' 9" to 6' 2". While 5' 9" isn't considered tall, there are plenty of "tall" bodybuilders.

Well, you've certainly got the nerdy/geeky part right, Outrider. :)

CommanderKeen, I'm not opposed to the idea of dating muscular men. My boyfriend is pretty fit, and I've had crushes on several distinctly muscular guys at various times.

I would never cheat on my boyfriend. Not sure why you assume that I would...?

I don't really I understand why you imply that I am somehow manipulating him. "Manipulation" is defined as " to manage or utilize skillfully" or "to control or play upon by artful, unfair, or insidious means especially to one's own advantage" (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/manipulate). I am not doing any of these things.

Yeah, I don't agree with CommanderKeen's impression of feminists. I'm a feminist, and the longest relationship I've ever had (2 years) was with the biggest, most muscular guy of all my (few, unfortunately) boyfriends. Weirdly (according to CK), neither of us manipulated each other--the relationship ultimately didn't work because we were too incompatible in personality (he was extremely NT, all about appearances, very superficial, and money-grubbing--I saw more depth in him when I started dating him than was actually there, and it took me an embarrassingly long time to realise it). But I guess that just means I'm an exception to the rule, and most feminists want men they can push around and so wouldn't want to have an LTR with a big muscly guy.

Men can be feminists, too.

I am not a feminist because I do not support the dominance of a certain gender, I support equal rights. I do not support labels that paint a black and white side, there is always a middle ground.

Patriarchy isn't always positive if that position of power is abused. The domestic violence rate in Russia far exceeds any Western country and they practice Patriarchy very strongly.

We should not see ourselves as different labels but as equals, men and women should be free. I am a firm believer in democracy and that women have a right to choose. Power can corrupt anyone, regardless of gender.

I would prefer to date a feminist over a woman that was submissive because tradition or law dictated it.

I'm a feminist because I support equal rights.

No, good sir, that makes you a libertarian and a Marxist.

Nocy, feminism is about gender equality. Women and men being treated as equals, anything else is just some personal agenda.
Women are not equal yet, and in many places are treated as less than human, support feminism but don't buy into the myth that it's all about the extreme.

I agree that the feminist movement is positive at the core of what it values.

Misandry and misogyny are both wrong, unwarranted discrimination and prejudice against a certain sex, religion, race or creed is a condition of human ignorance.

Unfortunately, there will always be radical extremists that use political or religious movement to channel discrimination.

I remember in a school a group of popular guys often acted effemine. They often shaved there chests and legs. They were jocks and were involved in multiple sports.some painted their finger and toenails and wore eyeliner.they often tickled each other to the point of tears.one guy practiced ballet. Some wore excessive jewelry or often wore tight jeans with their shirts unbuttoned to show off their chest. I doent think they were gay since many of them had girlfriends. It always struck me as really stange behavior. I guess im old fashioned.

It's all good. I wasn't sure if you were poking fun or actually asking. I guess I thought it was obvious that I'm male(profile *should* say so).
I voted the last option just to be ironic though!

No, just a feminist. And your superficial expression of politeness doesn't make that statement any less stupid.

Superficial? I see you are well versed in the art of courtesy, a refined charmer as such as yourself must be invited to all of the high brow parties.

I'd date a feminist if she was attractive, funny, interesting, and had the guts to say to me:

Quote:
I am a woman, you are man, and you must submit!

...without losing her composure and with a wicked sense of humor! :D
