I'd be a good Canadian citizen.

My personality suits Canada more than the US, even.

Yeah, we are hard to get into. It's awesome here!

Not that many Americans want to. If the number of Canadians that winter in the sunbelt states is an indicator of anything it looks like there are more Canadians wanting to emigrate to the U.S. of A than the other way around.

I like how respectful people are in Ottawa on the roads.

With NYC drivers being amongst the rudest in the nation just about anywhere else would be more respectful.

Only in the summers. Winters here suck, but who knows now you have Herr Trump.

Yes, with a loose cannon like Trump all it would take is a bad bottle of alleged Canadian maple syrup on his breakfast table for him to order the invasion of Canada in order bring things under better control.....only to learn too late that the defective syrup was actually from Vermont...

I don't know which would be worse (or better depending on how you look at it  ), leaving you here in the U.S of A to suffer or for Canada to let you in only for you to sadly find out it's not nearly the heaven on earth you thought it was.

Outside of Manhattan, NYC drivers are actually pretty respectful.

I fail to see a reason go to any state aside from Massachusetts, where the entire state was blue. A shame since I wanted to visit some places in the States but no longer feel safe to.

why not Washington state, as long as you avoid east of the cascades, and also avoid mason county and stick to the I5 corridor between Olympia and the canadian border you should do reasonably well.

Well, I should have clarified that I would only go to areas that were majority blue.

California I've heard was (I'm not much of a person who knows which state votes for which, I just love Boston and the surrounding area from reading and video games like Fallout 4, Assassin's Creed 3, etc. so I know about that) majority blue.

1/3 of California voted trump. Avoid northern and eastern California. If Oregon keep to Eugene, Salem, Corvallis and Portland, whole rest of the state is freedom loving

I saw an article that Trump has only made it to two of his daily intelligence briefings since the election. Most President elects reportedly go to all to study up on the issues that they absolutely need to understand to be President.

CNN is reporting that too. He doesn't seem to have much interest in learning. Maybe he's going to leave it to Pence to brief him.

@Awesomelyglorious: You've impressed me thus far by using wit, reason and evidence in your posts instead of WP's more common poo-flinging (which I admit I've indulged in now and then). That said, me being away from this forum has let this thread run away. Do you want to continue this line of discussion here? Somewhere else? Cool either way.

Oh look, it's the same "muh guns!" whining we heard in 2008 and 2012! I'm shocked. Gun sellers must be disappointed, Obama getting elected was great for business; they actually had to impose limits on how much ammunition each customer could buy.

section 4 of the 25th amendment is a real possibility. the PTB really wanted pence on top of that ticket but they bided their time and used trump as the draw.
