Again to the OP: why would conservatives offer a better deal Aspies? Aren't they the same crackers who deny the existence of autism so they can cut government programs so they can cut aid to autistics?

I have answered this question many times already. Just look up about six posts. Here are a few examples.

1. Trump wants to give parents "vouchers" to let their ASD kids attend ASD schools, where they are likely to have a much more enjoyable experience.

Trump's education secretary supports school vouchers

2. Trump wants health savings accounts a play a larger role in health care, thus, letting giving parents of an ASD kid more freedom to direct their health care money towards "special needs care", such as tuition and travel expenses that are not covered by Obamacare.

Even worse, my oppressors abused and humiliated me, because I didn't do things in their perceived "correct way".

The message was clear: I am wrong.

Then along comes conservatism.

Conservatives say things like, "You don't need a government master to tell you how to live your life".

Wow! What a powerful message to an oppressed person.

So, that's why I despise lefties, government control, socialism, and why I'm enamored with conservatism. :D

Me too!

But your "oppressors" are NT private citizens, and not any "government".

Also your NT "oppressors" were all also "individuals" practicing "individualism" (independently and individualistically deciding to "oppress" you).

-Government forced us to go the government schools.
-Obamacare mandate requires us to prove we have health insurance or pay the penalty.
-My state raised the state tax.
-The gas tax was just raised.
-The car registration tax was just raised.
-My city got a "special assessment" for lights, so property taxes are going up.
-The county just past a regional county tax to give more to the schools.
-At my bank, I get scrutinized on my transactions, because the US government has the banks snoop on us (so today I got called by a manager there).
-Many industries I spent money on, for example, the telephone or gas add fees that go towards government regulatory bodies. (here is FCC regulatory fees ... https://www.fcc.gov/licensing-databases ... atory-fees )

We are losing freedoms everywhere.

I dont see what any of that has to do with "loosing" any freedom that you ever had ( would you rather be ignorant than have gone to a public school? Is ignorance "freedom"?).

Coercion:the practice of persuading someone to do something by using force or threats.

For example, when the public schools mandate you have to attend -- that is 'coercion'.

That is a loss in freedom when instead you could self-learn, or go to an ASD school, and learn so much more.

This is particularly brutal to ASD kids.
1) The bright fluorescent lights sub-75 HZ refresh rate forcing me to keep my head down.
2) The humiliation by kids and teachers.
3) The un-ASD teaching methods -- of not teaching subjects from a detailed approach
4) The ABA (Behavior correction) for "wrong behavior".

I think public schools are generally a waste of time for most.

It's forced torture for ASD kids.

naturalplastic wrote:

That was never my point.

My point was that since we endured so much "NT oppression"

That personally, I greatly dislike it from other sources.

What truly amuses me is how much more I learn when I teach myself. It's kind of sad, how ineffectual the American school system is. I mean, the world's a mess, but if a country that is being bombed every 5 months can have an effective and lasting education, why can't the US? I completely agree here, not that I disagreed before anyways. In fact, I've learned so much that my teachers try to stop me by telling me if I listened to them I would actually pass my classes, but in actuality all I'm learning is more indoctrinating BS (I mean this, many people can argue against me and say the school systems are a service to us, but they teach us so much opinionated crap I don't know what's real). I don't want to be raised to work as a laborer, I want to pursue intellectual evolution for myself, and I don't know why this is such a crime to school administrators...

I'll believe it when I see it. Trump had promised to replace Obamacare with something "terrific," and "YUUUUUGE!" But when his Republican plan was presented to the public, it covered less people, and put draconian exceptions on the poor who needed it most. I can't believe that he'd handle autistic kids any differently, as he's become the "step-'n-fetch-it of the congressional Republicans.

Is the OP suggesting conservatives or non-conformist?

I'm pretty sure conservatives like everyone to be good conformist protestants.

And if you don't conform to conservative political rhetoric, the conservatives will shun you.

Just as those who don't conform to liberal rhetoric will be shuned by liberals.

Both sides use naratives of good and evil and both sides hate people who don't fit inside their boxes of black and white morality.

Real life doesn't work on black and white morality. Real life doesn't follow naratives. Naratives are for fiction.

You mean the freedom to choose which company overcharges you?

That doesn't sound like more freedom. That sounds like less freedom.

You could save a few thousand dollars per year. What do you want to do with those savings? Save for a house deposite? Save for your/your kids college? Nope. All those savings have to go towards your health savings account incase you or a member of your family gets sick.

If you have an ASD kid who requires "special needs care" then you have to put a lot more money into your health savings account. I guess that means you can forget about saving for his college.

Special needs care or college? Choose one. If you or your kids want to go to college then you bette make sure you and your kids never get sick.

As I pointed out, Obamacare *won't* pay for tuition, or travel expenses for "special needs" kids, however, HSAs do.

So, yes, Trump would help "special needs" families.

It gives parents the freedom to spend the money they want, rather, than forcing them into health care they don't need and can't use.

I mean, one area where I agree with either side who claims it (because its changed many times) is revised and more efficient (not actually crap) school systems, where everyone's allowed to look for what works for them. Why? Because the more people who are ADEQUATELY educated the more they can offer, and the more people are allowed to choose the more diverse a pool of workers or employers we have. It appeals to both the left and right. Now who's going to step up and make the changes for the POPULATION (And not for ideological dominance) that's what I wonder?

Savings accounts don't pay for anything. They merely store the money you put in.

You have a misunderstanding of HSAs.

HSAs are just like regular employer provided health insurance.

They pay for dental, medical, and optometry, without you having to use your savings.

I have a HSA, and my employer puts money into the HSA every month that I can spend as I want.

Plus, I can make tax-free contributions.

That is the benefit for "special needs" families. They can put aside tax-free money to pay for their unique needs.

What happens when it runs out?

I realise that the medicare system used in my country doesn't get the money out of thin air but if a few people get expensive diseases they won't have to rely on a fixed sum of money.

Wait a minute, there is no physically possible way money could be as important as what you're discussing doing with it. Money is a formality, it's not edible & it neither moves, oxygenates, filters nor stores blood. Nope, when concentrated, money just spills blood, that's easily proven if you're inclined towards real news. What I can buy has nothing to do with my physical condition & it's nice to keep things that way singlehandedly.

I hate some part of left because of the same reasons as you, namely liberal left, but I still like a big government that can provides basic needs to people.

It means, they can't keep you on a financial leash.

Liberals have an extreme, mental block, in which you cannot be moral, unless you're within their system of regulatory capture / debt peonage.

No, that stuff's in place to keep those in power in business or fiance from exercising power over the rest of us. And no, I don't believe those in such powerful but unelected positions are going to be moral on their own.

Regulatory capture & debt peonage basically just reads 'casino' from where I'm sitting.
