westboro baptist church does a lot of that. they were recently denied entrance into canada.

as far as jesus camp. been there, lived that. not to that extent (i don't recall ever being prompted to speak in tongues) but there were a lot of similar elements to what i experienced growing up in catholic school. it's all the same garbage.

Just because you're not hunting me down and killing me doesn't make it right or even OK. The way Christians treat homosexuals is a scandal. It is cruel and profoundly hypocritical. How can anyone even consider being part of an organization that promotes hatred of loving and artistic people?

Oh, and by the way, the pope prances around in an art filled palace, in full-length embroidered gowns, golden hats, jewels and Gucci shoes (very heterosexual behavior! all my straight friends love to wear gowns around the house) while poor people are giving him their hard earned money, and he's telling us gays we're decadent???

Actually your wrong true christians have nothing against homosexuals at all but there are those that manipulate their way into power by wearing sheep's clothing. No where in the bible does god condemn homosexuality it does condemn the mistreatment of others which fake Christian's do all the time.

By the way none of you have really answer my original question could you do that please with sweet cherries on top??

that's the christian reasoning behind it.

unless he specifically addressed it, it's still legit. except, you know, all the dietary laws that the lord and savior of christianity, paul, told them was actually okay to eat like shellfish.

No leviticus does not condemn homosexuality it condemns sleeping with shrine prostitutes who serve Molech and his consort Ashtoreth, reading one or two verses takes things out of context read the entire chapter.

Also if homosexuality how come over 1000 known species of animals practice bisexuality?? If god hated same sex relations then how come bisexuality exists at all?

Christians have been crusading against homosexuals for centuries!

I was personally thrown out of my parish for coming out as a homosexual. Our local priest, a man I had been looking up to for moral support for most of my young life, personally told me I was no longer welcome in the church, and that because I was a good looking boy, I should also stay away from other christian boys, for fear I might be leading them into temptation.

Sorry, my God doesn't hate anyone for something they were born with.

I'm a solid person with strong values and morals.

I refuse to step into that darkness, it's up to them to come into my light.

I am sorry I think I got a bit riled up with everything going on and misread a thousand apologies. I agree they are excuses because the bible never condemns homosexuality (looks at michel). Fact is its all myth and manipulation because up till around what was it I think it was 500 AD people were not persecuted for being gay by the church in fact there are great deal of documents which shows homosexuals often married same sex couples (looks at michel again). It will take time but one day the church will come back around and remember that god loves everyone even gay people and has no problem with homosexuals.

Sweetie, 500 AD was a LONG time ago. The pope, at the Christian Youth convention in Toronto just a few years ago, condemned homosexuality, and he's supposed to be the infallible authority on christianity.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in God, I believe in Jesus, but I sure as hell do not believe in organized religion, especially when they throw me out for being honest about myself and refusing to live a lie.

i swear man....it seems like the hatred towards homosexuality all goes back to an irrational fear of the penis.

you don't see lipstick lesbians getting nearly the hate that homosexual men get.

the dykish lesbians get some hate but, well, who doesn't hate an ugly person? (j/k)

...unfortunately being far from the "enemy" doesn't often do much to deter them.

eh, i'm gonna be getting pretty close to the thick of it pretty soon. moving over to plano, tx (actually about 10 miles north) and that's pretty deep into the bible belt. not looking forward to it.

from the sounds of it....i'm guessing you're in austin? i can't picture many other places in texas actually having a gay pride parade.
