That modern "social justice" means to reinstitute segregation.

I didn't like it that the center of the Tootsie Pop was a Tootsie Roll. I didn't like Tootsie Rolls. It would take me three licks, just like the owl LOL

They had this other lollipop I liked----I forgot its name--but it would have taken at least 1,000 licks to get to ITS center.

I find some of this PC stuff to be absolutely absurd, frankly.

Yep....but it had nothing to do with racial "whiteness."

A very fascistic move by the administration there. One that his supporters will probably cheer on.

Just this morning, Alt Right white nationalist posters, encouraging racial purity for whites, had been discovered in downtown Spokane, having been put up by someone during the night. This sort of sh*t didn't happen before Trump got elected.

NHK, the Japanese public broadcaster, ran a half hour show on Richard Spencer and the alt-right, complete with comparing and contrasting them, the KKK, and neo-Nazis. They had a panel discussion, but didn't draw any parallels between the US and the growing racist right in Japan. They had a lot of interviews of people in the US, and were present at the Nazi Punching Incident, so they had a lot of stuff to fill that half-hour. It was in Japanese with English voice-over for the international broadcast, but was originally made for a Japanese audience in order to inform them about our situation. Maybe they implied a connection in some subtle ways that I missed.

Almost everyone seems to agree that Obama's presidency and Trump's rhetoric have drawn racists out of the closets and then made them more vocal. Trump is so awful at disavowing them, it's like he's not even trying.

"the New York Times‘ claim that “[n]othing like this has ever happened” is simply false — or “fake news.”

I guess it's OK when Obama does it.

Obama attacked Fox once and got widely pilloried by all sections of the media, forcing him to back down. Trump repeatedly criticises anyone who runs a story he doesn't like and refuses to back down. Hard to accuse the media of hypocrisy on that one.
