As a matter of fact, I have written posts condemning the anarchists responsible for violence and vandalism, giving peaceful protesters a bad name.
So far, I haven't heard you or any of your friends condemn Alt Right white nationalists. Just the opposite, I'm seeing posts defending the Alt Right, saying their just using politically offensive speech against minorities just to rankle liberals, but are otherwise good guys. No, they don't, and they aren't. Just look at Richard Spencer and his following, with their Nazi salutes to Trump, and their ugly talk of deporting non-whites.

I just wish people would give Trump a chance, I feel like so much of the hysteria is just making mountains out of mole hills and the corporate mainstream media is playing it up for it own ends and the ends of the apparent deep state. It's makes no sense to me that people that supposedly are worried about the erosion of our democratic institutions can support a fundamentally undemocratic agenda, these people represent the interests of an entrenched military-industrial complex and intelligence state that never changes regardless of who is elected.

Even Trump is not beyond the reach of these people unfortunately as they have weaseled their way into positions of power, these people work against peace particularly between ourselves and Russia who is together are the preeminent nuclear powers on this planet. How can anyone claim that there is no benefit to normalizing our relations with Russia? The mess previous administrations have made in the middle east cannot be untangled without their cooperation, we have a shared interest in not only in stopping the spread but also destroying the ideology of radical Islamic terrorism.

Democrats should be looking for areas of compromise with a president that doesn't adhere to the tradition dogmas of Republican politics, obstructionism or this 'resistance' as the opposition styles itself doesn't serve the interests of the American people so with the electoral realities as dictated by our constitution in they should be working with the president in crafting an agenda they can lend their support to rather than leaving him totally dependent on conservatives ideologues. Healthcare, jobs, infrastructure should be areas that Democrats should be able to work with Trump on and it reflects poorly on the opposition to abandon their constituents interests to cynical party politics. I think goodwill can be built with the president because he's a pragmatic guy and that is only way to ensure a more balanced agenda.

2018 could be a decisive election and not the kind liberals want, it could produce a Republican super-majority(not that it matters as much after Harry Reid killed effectively the filibuster) in the senate and the national Democrat party seem intent on ensuring this happens by their adherence to toxic identity politics and total obstructionism. Keith Ellison I think is the leader they deserve and I hope the DNC does pick him because it will signal the national Democratic party's extremism and abandonment of everyone that lives outside coastal bubbles, an ineffectual ideological loser who will repulse the voters all across the country. It will be a clear choice and I think the middle of the country in terms of politics will side accordingly, I believe the progressive-globalist agenda will continue to be rejected and has already been rejected in this country and many others. We are approaching a very important pivot point in our county's history and we can decide on the future that we want for this country, the constitutional framework that our country is built on will work to guide our country through this special period as long as the rule of law is respected by all.

Scary times we live in.
