Actually, you're the one who seems rather abnormal in that department.

No I'm not. Most people would accept that one's sexuality is determined by who they're attracted to, not who they have sex with.

What exactly did you want to accomplished on this thread?
Kilroy was asking for support, and I really doubt you were offering real support to him.

Define "most people". Most people in the U.K.? Most people in the western world? Most people in the northern hemispere? What? And you haven't interacted with many people.

There. I made a poll. We'll see what people do think. Although I put it in the Religion forum, so it probably won't be very representative.

How about Professionals, Scientists, Doctors, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Sexologists? I believe most of sexologists or very likely all of them in the world agree with it.

I know how to get around it. I don't see the point though, it just means I'm more likely to have my post deleted. I don't need to ask anyone how though, I know how to do it lol

Let me share a little secret with you. There's no such thing as sexual or tactile love. You can love someone with all your heart, and not desire to touch them or have sex with them. Conversely, you can have no real emotions for someone, and touch them or have sex with them just because of mutual physical desire, which is not love. So if you desire to touch your girlfriend, that's not love, that's tactile desire, toward physical and/or emotional pleasure, which MANY people do without having love. It may be an expression of love, but that expression is random to the love itself.

So, being gay has nothing to do with actual love. Gay and straight are physical preferences. People aren't male and female at their very core -- they're simply people. So, when you desire one gender over another, that's a physical desire, apart from the love for someone.

I'm very sure the majority of members here on WP disagree with you.

I know that. I love my family but I don't touch them. Similarly there are people I don't love who I would touch. I'm not thick.
Gender is different to sex. I'm physically attracted to females and emotionally attracted to women. So together, that's more than just sex.

Well, it's a deceptive phrasing, so I won't consider the results.

However modern society defines "gay" and "straight", the Bible doesn't condemn people for simply feeling gay. So, that argument against Christianity is moot. That's because the Bible's definition of gay isn't as broad-sweeping as yours is. Therefore, you're calling more people gay than the Bible does. So, when you tell a heterosexual-practicing person who feels gay inside that the Bible speaks against them, that's false. That person is not committing the sin the Bible speaks of.

Well, I don't trust the opinions of "sexologists". Sex and moral issues go hand-in-hand, and their "morality" definitions vary widely from the Bible's.

How is it deceptive?

What determines sexuality? Who you're attracted to or who you have sex with? I even added a Both option. It's not deceptive, it's exactly what was being said in this thread. Anyone who agrees with you will vote for the second choice.
There's no such thing as 'feeling' gay or straight, you either are or you aren't. And I don't give a f**k about the Bible because I'm not a Christian.
