And even as we speak there are the so-called "Jack Mormons" who still have multiple wives. They are a relatively small group but they exist.

It's still illegal and not sanctioned by the LDS church.....

So how does the Bible condemn polygamy?

It's so adorable that it's not sanctioned. It's approved by their distinct lack of willingness to pursue and prosecute.

They only prosecute if there is child abuse involved.

This must have been quite a perplexing year to be a Southern Baptist.

After more than a century of bashing Mormons, quite suddenly they are confronted with "Vote for the Mormon guy, or you will go to Hell." The preachers must have rationalized it along the lines of "At least he is White. Plus, Fox News said to vote for him, and Fox News is a Christian network."

They must have expected a certain victory for Romney, especially after Billy Graham removed Mormonism from his list of Satanic Cults, and just about sucked on Mitt Romney's toes.

So, now what? Are Baptists obliged to regard Mormons as genuine Christians, who will be going to Heaven after all?

Baptist attitudes towards Jews certainly came around. Will they be placing Mormons on a similar pedestal?

I don't care if two women live with one man as long as everyone is of age. There is a threesome here like that, but they are not LDS,more like LSD,they are old Hippies.
But to be fair the women should be able to have two husbands.

Good question.

The Koran has specific rules and says a man can have three wives but no more than that- but only that number if he can support them.

In contrast the Bible is actually rather vague about it and doesnt actually condemn polygamy, but doesnt advocate it either. Some of the heroes of the Old Testament had multiple wives, and some didnt.

As far as having 2 husbands, I can't find anywhere in the Bible that specifically condemns the practice. Adultery does not count because if a woman had 2 husbands she could not be charged with adultery as long as her husbands were recognized. Of course there is not an example in the Bible of any woman having 2 husbands but this just means that it was unprecedented. The argument of paternal identity would be moot with today's technology.

The main objection would be that men are usually very jealous and tend to fight over women. If 2 men were best friends it still would not work because what kind of friend would steal a mans wife? But if the 2 men actually loved each other more than they loved the woman then it would probably work but society considers these men gay even if they were celibate.

Now as far as age goes there are older celebrities that men find attractive but the problem is that as one gets older it becomes more difficult to change to a radically different lifestyle.

Maybe the various religions are finally starting to unite against a common enemy. If this were to happen it could become an unstoppable threat to the American left.

And, yes, there IS an American left.

No there isn't. All that America has is normal people and right-wing fanatics, who are cultivating a siege mentality.
