Are Republicans really out of touch with reality...?
Or is it everyone else is out of touch with reality?

Maybe they are trying to bring us all back to reality...!

Let's see... telling us that we'd be better off without medical coverage offered in Obamacare, that denying civil rights to gays is God's will - that religion in fact supersedes secular law, that racism is no longer a problem, that anyone complaining about the economic and social divide is guilty of class envy and class warfare, yada yada yada...
Nope, they're the ones who are completely out of touch, not the rest of us.

That, or they've miraculously somehow managed to survive after having their hearts surgically removed.

the history of the party would seem to indicate that this happened at least a century ago, if not from the very birth of the party.

I don't know - - I rather think that you and I would have been Republicans at the party's birth, as they were then the liberals, and the Democrats the conservatives. Funny how parties remain, but political philosophies are fluid and jump from one group to the other.

Yeah, I'm a lazy freaking bum because I collect food stamps. BFD!! ! I'm supposed to make it on the generous $16.00 per month that I get from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which is a huge drop from the $200.00 per month I got while I was waiting for SSA to adjudicate my case. I dropped this low as soon as I was rewarded SSDI.

I get a wopping amount of eighteen dollars.I don't worry about losing that,it's the health insurance that makes the difference.Without it I couldn't afford meds or my therapy.More valuable to me than food. What can you buy to eat that lasts a month on eighteen dollars??Thats why I grow a garden.
