As tensions escalate towards violence yet again, I realize something. I'm not a fighter and someone has to bury the dead when the violence is over. The world will need another grave digger. I have a shovel. I can dig. Grave digging will soon be a community service and I love to help the community.

Contrast is the only reason why I bothered having any job at all.

Contrast is the only thing that can test me.

I can very much just...
Choose to literally put a living rest in peace unto myself by being very dependent and not contributing, content and just do whatever autopilot does and no longer trying.

But no.

I need contrast.

Contrast is the only thing that can measure my mettle against this prison called a body and a mind of being a human.

To many, contrast is a relief.
Relaxing, sleeping, hobbies, music... The safe, the familiar.
Against the odds of this chaotic world they live and the chaos of life they chose to live.

To me, it's the inverse.
Exertion, stress, exposure, the lacking, the challenge. Whatever's unsafe, whatever's new.

Why the heck should I worry about not putting wet wipes down the bog and oil down my sink when the water companies couldn't give a chuffing monkeys about what they pump into the sea

I refuse to live in a "free country" where my own rights and freedoms are revoked and denied all because the status quo doesn't like me.

"Guess what, status quo, the feeling is mutual. Now go to Hell!" -- me.

Because the problem isn't that you're polluting, it's that wet wipes and oil can both cause blockages within the infrastructure, making it more expensive to maintain, meaning eventually those costs will get passed on to users (like yourself).

Until the violence is over, may I borrow your shovel? I apologize in advance if it's dented when I return it.

I hate people who are completely obsessed with idea that the world should be ruled by the strong who kill and consume the weak in order to survive. Apathy is seen as strength and compassion a weakness. All they'll end up doing is creating a world where the weak are not only hunted down, killed, and consumed for the survival of the strong, but also for sport.

I've noticed those people often tend to believe that they'd be the predators in such an ecosystem. It's always very tempting to treat such people as prey.

Yeah I didn't think about that

Same. I never would have considered that angle prior to seeing a documentary on fatbergs and how much extra expense they represent.

How can someone love their country while hating more than 90% of all the people who live in it?

If I had a million dollars for every time a big corporation made a terrible decision a majority consumer never wanted nor enjoyed, ruined the company's value, ruined an intellectual property, or ruined a studio bought by the company, you know how much money I would have?

Well here's what I would do with it.

First I'd buy back every IP that was written off for tax purposes and give them back to their original creators then I'd give Uwe Boll the money he needs to make a movie sequel to Postal with my own script ideas that it'd be an adaptation of the Paradise Lost DLC, but with an epic climax straight from The Book of Revelations if it was written by a guy on crack.

Quote:
When Hong Kong demonstrators throw stones at the police in Hong Kong that's considered heroism in the American press.

When in Myanmar demonstrators throw slingshot stones at the army, they're considered to be heroes in the Western press.

When Palestinian children throw sticks, stones and rocks at the oppressive Israeli army, they're called terrorists.'

- Dr. Gabor Mate.

And yet there's people who would celebrate this double standard.

If you leave an unopened package of guacamole out of the refrigerator for one night, it might be OK if you discover it the next morning. Don't beat yourself up. Don't imagine money lost. Look it over. If it looks ok... smell test, taste test... if that's ok... yum!
