Then don't watch.

MissConstrue you have a right to your curiosity. You could do some reading and make up your own mind or just decide not to decide. It is a personal journey and shouldn't be treated with derision by anyone.

Thanks Aimless.

It isn't about god and the stuff that's constantly posted here.

I just lost a friend yesterday and I'm thinking about going into a support group. I've had so many people die lately this year that the subject of death is now at me 24-7 I honestly don't know how people can function normally when this happens. I wish I had the gumption to be the same way.

At my age I have seen lots of personal friends die. People, cats, dogs, a seagull, a muskrat, several rats, a praying mantis, a bunch of parakeets, a beautiful mated pair of angelfish. All well loved and all missed. I am not mocking you, this is true. You get to accept it. It takes a while.

I tend to think that Life and Death is a cycle. <.< It happens to all things organic. I am more or less sure if this is applicable to spirits though. But if i was to compare with it with inorganic stuff, it could be possible... Does a rock ever dies? =/ (excluding transformations of said inorganic matter)

well, people seem to cope with things differently, and well, with spirituality, mysticism or religion, whatever one chooses, that can indeed help people cope with such things, I haven't had those experiences yet, and it looks scary to think about given that I haven't experienced great losses, in that sense, I don't seem to have that advantage.

A part from that, relating it to other things, I personally think that if I have had a religious conviction before and have sticked with it, I would probably be better than I am right now, I mean more succesful in life perhaps.

That is the "reward" of having a longer lifetime than one's fellows and kin. This has not yet happened to me and I don't look forward to it, but it is conceivable I may outlive my spouse and some children. The only way I know of avoiding this is to die first. Let's face it. We can't win. We can't even break even.

Grit teeth. Bite bullet. Be tough. Life is beautiful until it gets ugly.

Only if you have any teeth left. I still have a few.

I brush and floss. And if one has no teeth left to grit, then one should grit his/her gums.
