Parasites like Jobs and Wozniac who invented a computer anyone could afford. Parasites like Sabin and Salk who eliminated the threat of polio. Parasites like Edison who invented the light bulb and replaced gas lighting with electric lighting. Parasite like Craig Venter who with his team sequenced the human genome for a dime on the government dollar.

There is a difference of opinion on this issue. To morons the rich who invent and understand the things people cannot live their lives without are parasites, whereas those who do not know anything and do not contribute anything have immense value in their person. People should worship people like Jobs, Wozniak, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and aspire to be like them. People who are rich tend to be so for a reason, either they themselves or a relative of them did something which enough people found valuable to pay them for.
Why should anyone be worshiped, that's stupid. Also some rich people are there because of contributions....however there are plenty who also got their by fighting their way to the top of some corporation or whatever by stepping on people, manipulating them and exploiting labor and resources. If you honestly think none of that goes on I feel like you should start looking into how the system really works.
It's not like there are fistfights in corporations so "fighting" your way to the top tends to include being either good at your job or being good at taking credit for other people's job.
It's the latter that piss me off.
If people let themselves be manipulated, stepped on and exploited they have the option to leave and go somewhere else. If they stay, then they agree with being exploited, simple as that. You make it out like a majority of rich people got there by dishonest means, I think you're jealous.
What makes you think people always have the option to just up and go somewhere else? also it's screwed up to manipulate, step on and exploit people for ones own benefit at the expense of others. Don't try and act like that sort of behavior is justified, it's the ones doing that in the wrong not those who end up being treated that way by such people. Go ahead and think I'm jealous all you want but jealous of what? I'm perfectly happy with the means to get by and ability to do activities I enjoy like going to concerts...I have an issue with the way society is set up, and the hierarchy based on ones level of income or lack thereof...I think you just wish I was jealous.

People call me jealous, covetous, ungrateful, you name it. It's like I should be perfectly happy to live in the ghetto living off of the crumbs that people throw at me. But what if the situation were turned around. What if all of these rich people were to wake up in a different universe and find themselves not only poor but being despised for being ungrateful.

Someday I think I want to do a massive social experiment by causing such circumstances more or less. You know see how well these well to do people handle it....we'll see if they feel lazy when they're trying to scrape by but getting accused of laziness all the same. Also maybe we could give some of them disabilities and tell them to just get over it and go find a job to avoid being a 'parasite.'

Because you always have the option, you elect not to take it because subconsciously you make a decision that the the bird in your hand is better than the 5 on the roof. There are always choices and pretending there aren't is assuming a victim role. As for exploiting people for their own benefit, everyone does on some level.

If they are psychopaths as another poster said, they'll just rob and steal from the people who have the wealth now.
And funnily enough that one Bill Gates admitted to perhaps having Asperger.

Who ever said anything about there not being any choices? all I said was not everyone has the option to up and get out of the negative situations they find themselves in...Also don't assume everyone exploits people for their own gain at their expense. I don't most people might but I don't really care that does not change how i feel about it.

Yes I am sure psychopaths would be more inclined to do that.

Choice and option are synonyms.
